Title: Save the Time / Ephesians 5:16

save time

Ephesians 5:16

"Save the time, for the times are evil."

There was a young man who was quietly working in the printing shop his brother was running. It was here that the young man learned to publish and began to write. Later, he was also deeply interested in the natural sciences, where he discovered a lightning rod. He also became a politician and became an influential figure leading an era. This is Benjamin Franklin, who coined the phrase “time is gold”. He always emphasized this to the people around him.

“Once time is lost, it cannot be found. Even if we think we have enough time now, we will realize that someday we will not have enough.”

This Franklin once worked in a bookstore. One day a customer picked up a book and asked how much it cost, and Franklin replied that it was a dollar. Then, two to three minutes passed as the customer was negotiating for the price of the book. Then Franklin asked me to pay 1 dollar and 15 coins. The customer asked for a cheaper price, but when I asked him to pay 15 more, he was offended. "How do you ask for something cheaper, but how do you call it more expensive?" Franklin said: "Time is more precious than money, but because I wasted my time negotiating in vain, I added 15 more for the time."

There are three things in the world that will never return.

The first is the words that come out of our mouths. Words once spoken cannot be taken back.

The second is arrows. An arrow that leaves the bow never returns.

The third is the passing of time. The passing years are like flowing water, and there is no turning back. However, there is a way to hold on to the passing of time. It is standing in a court of introspection, looking back on the past and asking, "What have you lost and what have you gained?" Thus, when we are grateful for what we have gained and reflect on what we have lost, isn’t it possible that time does not just pass but we can live anew again?

When we look at our life in 24 hours, what time have you reached now? Take a moment, look back at the days gone by. What have you been working for? So are you satisfied? The Bible says: “Our years are seventy, and if we are strong, we are eighty years old, but the pride of our years is toil and sorrow; it goes quickly, and we fly away.” (Psalm 90:10) . What is really valuable and important in such a flying time of life? Wealth, fame, success, and pleasure will perish with death, but Jesus Christ is with us forever. Have you been procrastinating from coming to Jesus Christ because of your busy life? Bring Jesus Christ right now, because tomorrow might be too late.

“Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom” (Psalm 90:12)

If you want to know the value of a year, ask the student who failed the final exam.

If you want to know the value of a month, ask the mother of a premature baby.

If you want to know the value of a day, ask a daycareer with ten children.

If you want to know the value of an hour, ask the bride and groom waiting for the wedding.

If you want to know the value of every minute, ask the passenger who missed the train time.

If you want to know the value of every second, ask the survivors who survived the accident.

If you want to know the value of 0.001 seconds, ask the Olympic silver medalist.

Those who know how to manage their time are wise. Great men are born in the seriousness of time. A wise person grieves the loss of time the most. All resources can be accumulated. Intellectual resources, relationship resources, material resources, and spiritual resources can be accumulated. However, time resources alone cannot be accumulated. Time and age cannot hold. You just need to take good care of it.

Time management is past management. A person who clings to the past is a waste of time. The past cannot be ignored. But a person living as a slave in the past is like a person cutting sawdust with a saw. To live in the full present, you need to manage the past well. In addition, in order to live the full present, we must live a life that prepares for the future well. Living in the full present does not mean clinging to the present. Those who live today seriously as if they would die tomorrow and prepare for the future as if they would live forever are those who live in the full present.

Time management is managing your priorities. To manage your priorities well, you need to be sensible. You must be able to discern what is most important and what is most essential. To discern, you need to think deeply. When thoughts deepen, wisdom is born.

The most difficult thing for us humans is to think. We do anything to avoid thinking. Few people in the world live with goals. Many people have wishes. However, there are few people who set specific goals and live their lives to make those wishes come true. The reason is that it is hard to think. To manage your time according to priorities, you need to train to think. The wisdom of managing your priorities well is investing your most precious time in the things that matter most. Check who you are every day. Examine your talents and gifts. Check your goals every day. And set priorities to achieve those goals. Live by those priorities.

Time management is life management. Life management is self-management. Our future depends on where we spend our time. If you want to conquer the world, you must conquer time. To conquer time, you must conquer yourself. To conquer yourself, you must conquer the dawn. Wake up every morning. Wake up in the morning and listen to the voice of God in prayer. Set priorities as you meditate on the Word and live by those priorities every day.

A wise man always makes good use of his time. Columnist Ann Landers put it this way:

"0 Take the time to think. Thinking is a source of strength.'

0 Take time to play. Play is the secret to unchanging youth.

0 Take time to read. Reading is a source of wisdom.

0 Take time to pray. It helps when you are in trouble.

0 Take time to love. It makes life worthwhile.

0 Take time to make friends. It adds flavor to your life.

0 Take time to laugh. Laughter is the music of the soul.

Take time to divide by zero. Giving enriches life.

0 Spend time with family. It will revitalize your life."
