Title: Sea of Grace (Ezekiel 47:3-5)
1. What does precipitation mean? What the angel showed us here is not normal precipitation. If it were ordinary precipitation, how would such a great river flow out of the temple? It compares the gospel of the New Testament. The Lord said in John 7:37-38, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Bible says, living water will flow from his belly." This precipitation means the blood of Jesus.
3. Entering the deep The prophet Ezekiel first crossed the water that came up to his ankles, then the water that went up to his knees, then the water that went up to his waist, and then he immersed himself in the deep water that he could not cross. He went on like this. A life of faith without progress is regressive. What does this deep water mean? It symbolizes the grace of redemption through Christ. The reason why the redemptive grace of Christ is so great is that His blood, which He possessed on our behalf, is the blood of the infinite Son of God. The Son of God is greater than the heavens and the earth, and the value of His precious blood is infinite. Therefore, (1) When we believe in His blood and our sins are forgiven, it means that not only a few of our sins are forgiven, but that our many sins are forgiven. (2) When we are justified by him, it means that we receive his infinite righteousness. (3) He has made all things grace for us. Through him our death is also a favor to us. (4) Just as we swim in the deep sea not relying on ourselves but only on the water, so if we live in deep grace, we depend only on the Lord and are captured by the Lord.
4. Let's swim in and finally go through the depths of ankles, knees, and waist, and now our whole body is submerged in the water. He swam in the river of life. His words and deeds, his private life, his business, and his whole family were reconciled by grace. I was completely immersed in the wave of grace and now I can swim freely. Now I have been sanctified by living in the grace of God. We want our whole body and mind to be submerged in the river of grace.
