The whole country is buzzing with stories about the sea. It is said that he made more than 1 trillion won at over 15,000 gambling establishments nationwide. The story of the sea is the story of Korea. Our country has been drifting diplomatically for 60 years with its waist ripped in the sea of greed of world powers such as the United States, China, Japan, and Russia. There is. Many people are dying in a sea of irresolvable debt, and families, relatives, and close friends around them share the pain. This is a time when hope is needed. There is no more hope on the gambling board. We cannot find help to save us from this world of gambling. As always, Jesus Christ is our only hope. In the text, we will find a way to live and share grace. Where are you going to live?
1. Your life depends on what you eat.
We can find a way to live when we eat the flesh and blood of Jesus Christ. There are many such expressions in today's text 53-57. Here, eating the flesh of Jesus Christ and eating the blood means the Christian's attitude of life, that is, to walk the way of the cross. The way to life is to clearly know the meaning of the suffering of the cross, to make a decision, and to challenge that way. The way of the cross is never a comfortable way. What you get by believing in Jesus is peace of mind and peace of mind. (Matthew 11:29, Phil 4:7) The life of the gospel is when one beggar tells another beggar where the bread is. The Christian life is a clear life, a holy life, and a simple life. God does not deceive, but the world deceives us. We must eat the bread of truth, not the bread of deceit. In verse 58, “the ancestors ate and died” refers to “manna,” the food of the wilderness. The meaning of manna is ‘what is this’. Those who ate the manna in the wilderness were not allowed to enter the promised land. You have to know the meaning and live. There should be no people who shed vague words like this, and go down the path of sin. The meaning of worship and the Lord's Supper should also be clear. (1 Corinthians 11:29 Anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body of the Lord eats and drinks in his own sin).
2. Calling Beautiful Names
Who were they who knew how to create a beautiful name for the story of the sea? God gave Adam the ability to give names to all creatures (Genesis 2:19). We must not use that power to commit a crime. You need to be able to use your creative ability to call someone meaningfully. We should not condemn each other as sinners, but call them righteous (Proverbs 29:2). We must be prophets (1 Corinthians 14:5).
