Title: Searching for Love

*** Bible_Luke 2:41~52
When Jesus was twelve years old, Jesus' mother Mary and father Joseph went together to the temple in Jerusalem to worship God. But because Jerusalem was filled with people, Jesus was lost. Father Joseph and mother Mary put everything aside and went back to find Jesus, and found Jesus again after three days. For Joseph and Mary, Jesus was the son who was conceived after hearing the precious news from an angel. Therefore, they should not lose this Jesus, and they could not live without Jesus.
There are things in life that we lose easily. It is surveyed that most people lose their wallets and cell phones easily. Losing these things is upsetting and costly, but it does not interfere with life. Some people blow up their entire house because they don't have a guarantee. Even if the house disappears, it can be re-established. However, there are people who are indispensable. There are many things in our lives that we can live without, but there are important things that we absolutely need.
In Luke 19, we see a man named Zacchaeus. Zacchaeus had a short handcap, but he decided, 'The life I only live once is not a boring life that is not noticed by people, but I have to live as a person who will come to greet me and acknowledge me even if I am small.' This is a reluctant job, but it made a lot of money, becoming a customs officer, leading to the position of chief customs officer in a big city. And I had all three of how much money I made. I became the head of the customs office, and although it was not serious, I was recognized by many people.
But strangely, there was no satisfaction in Zacchaeus' heart. It was nonsense. It was sad and empty. As a result, when I saw the poor neighbors living happily even in difficult circumstances, I looked closely and found that they believed in the young Jesus. So Zacchaeus was wondering, 'Who the hell is Jesus?' When he heard the news that Jesus was coming, he decided, 'I'll have to see what kind of person Jesus is.'
Then Jesus came from the crowd and stood in front of the sycamore tree that Zacchaeus had climbed, saying, “Zacchaeus, Zacchaeus, come down. I must stay at your house today.” Then he welcomed Jesus into his home. Zacchaeus was really impressed. “Hey, how does Jesus know me?” What Zacchaeus most wanted is for people to acknowledge him, and when Jesus recognized him, he was so moved. Zacchaeus was so happy that he gave up half of his wealth to the poor. I was so happy and moved by meeting Jesus. Everyone, this is the joy of meeting Jesus. It is so happy. All we need is Jesus. There is nothing more important than Jesus.
Gentlemen, Zacchaeus needed money, fame, and recognition from people, but what Zacchaeus really needed was Jesus. This man, who has been serving as a prosecutor for over 30 years, needed strength, law, and justice, but what this man really needed was Jesus, who gave this man life. So, this person can comfortably leave this earth and go to the kingdom of God and live forever.
I know there are a lot of newcomers here today. As far as I know, those who have invited you all have prayed for over two months before you came here. Also, we do not know how much God has worked so far to bring you to this place. Those who come to church for the first time today are not free to come. He came from God's amazing hand and history. Today, Jesus said, “I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with me” (Revelation 3:20), “Whoever receives me will Living water will spring from within.” You are giving us these precious words.
