Second Sunday in Lent
Sunday worship
The Father Who Reclaimed His Son Luke 15:11-32 121
And he said to them, A man has two sons
The second said to his father,
Father, give me the portion of the estate to return to me.
My father gave the household to each of us.
Within a few days, the second son gathered all his possessions and took it.
He went to a faraway country, and there he wasted his wealth in rioting.
After they were all removed, a great famine came in the country, and he began to be in need.
And he went and gave it to one of the people of the country, and he bought it.
He sent him into the field to feed the pigs.
He wanted to fill his stomach with swine-eaters, but no one gave him anything.
Then he turned to himself and said,
How many laborers my father has enough bread
I'm starving to death here
I got up and went to my father and said,
Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you
I am no longer worthy to be called your son.
See me as one of the hired men.”
So he got up and went back to his father.
He was still far away, but when his father saw him, he felt pity and ran to him.
Hold my neck and kiss me
The son said, Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.
I am no longer worthy to be called your son.
The father said to his servants,
Take out the best clothes, put them on, put the ring on your hands, and put sandals on your feet, and bring the fattened calf and kill it.
let's eat and enjoy
This my son was dead and is alive again
I was lost and found again, and they rejoiced.
When the eldest son returned from the field and came near the house,
Hearing the wind music and dancing, he called a servant and asked what was going on.
He answered, Your brother has returned.
Because your father welcomes him back in good health
You have killed a fattened calf.
He was angry and would not go in.
Dad came out and gave me permission
answered the father, saying,
I have served my father for many years and have not disobeyed his orders.
He never gave me a young goat, so that me and my friend might rejoice.
This son, who devoured his father's household with prostitutes, returned.
For this you have killed a fattened calf.
the father said
Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours.
This thy brother was dead and is alive; I lost it and found it.
We should rejoice and rejoice.

While longing for the great grace of the Lord, you received it abundantly,
You and your family, brothers and sisters,
And those who live hard without knowing the Lord in their neighbors and around them
Or, you used to have faith and zeal to serve the church.
Now like an unbeliever, or worse than an unbeliever
If there are people who are living while dishonoring God,
With them you received with joy, gratitude, and fear
I hope you will share the great grace (with sorrow and joy) with them.
Hallelujah!
