Title: Secret of Success

The secret of prosperity (Daniel 6:10-15)

In the Bible verse we read today, a truly prosperous person appears. He is Daniel, who was taken captive to a great country called Babylon. Being held captive in the past means becoming a slave. His life ended there. However, this man prospered so much that, instead of becoming a slave, he took the seat of the prime minister, the highest position in the country. It has been in that position for over 60 years. During that time, the king has changed four times, and the country has also changed. Babylon, which had captured him, was destroyed and a nation called Medebasa was established. Nevertheless, Daniel did not fall and became the prime minister of a new country. Where in the world could there be such a prosperous person? Let's take a look at the secret of Daniel's success through the Word.

First, Daniel did not depend on men, but only on God.

Although he knew the schemes of his enemies who were jealous of Daniel and used tricks to push him into the lions' den, Daniel did not go to King Darius and plead with him. He didn't even pay a bribe. Seeing King Darius dealing with Daniel who was about to be thrown into the lions' den, he taught me what kind of person Daniel was in general. In verse 14, we see King Darius struggling to save Daniel. An ordinary person would run to the king who loves and cares for him and ask for help. In such an extreme situation, Daniel did not use his personal network and did not depend on the king of the world, but only on Almighty God. This was the secret of his prosperity. Psalm 115:11 says, "You who fear the Lord, trust in the Lord; he is your help and your shield." I hope that you will prosper by relying on the Lord.

Second, Daniel brought his difficult situation to God and prayed.

Daniel knew. The king issued a decree that anyone who prays for 30 days from now will be thrown into the lions' den. And I know very well who the conspiracy forces that made the proclamation are targeting now. Nevertheless, Daniel was said to have prayed on his knees three times a day, as he had done before. This prayer is a life-threatening prayer. It is also a prayer that the elaborate towers built up to this point may collapse in an instant. However, Daniel opened the window facing the temple in Jerusalem as he had always done, and prayed regardless of whether other people saw or heard it or reported it. I was able to pray like that because I had the confidence and faith that God lives and that He hears my prayers. Daniel had the belief that his life and death and happiness depended on Jehovah God and not on the princes of the world. So he set a time and prayed to the God who made all things successful every day. I hope that you too, like Daniel, have a successful history of solving problems by opening the windows of your heart and praying to the Lord every moment and moment.

Third, Daniel acted with God-given wisdom.

Look at Daniel. What was the first thing those enemies did when they plotted to kill Daniel? Isn't this "I can't be clean because I'm a politician"? So they did a background check. “Who is a politician who doesn’t come out with a single dust? Surely there will be flaws somewhere. He must have secretly made a slush fund, and he must have taken bribes from many people, so he did a background investigation, but looking at Daniel 6:4, ‘I tried to find a ground to accuse Daniel, but I couldn’t find any ground or any fault. He was faithful, and there was no wrongdoing, and there was no fault.” That's right. Those who live by the wisdom of God obey God's Word and are not criticized by others. I do not walk in the path of sin. Psalm 1 says, “Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of the scornful.” A wise man walks as far as he can. Then God will prosper in his deeds, just as a tree planted by a stream yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither.

Remembering that the secret of success is to rely on Jehovah God, to always walk with the Lord by praying without ceasing every day, and to live righteously by obeying the word of God with wisdom and faith, rather than living in a frivolous way. I hope that you will prosper like Daniel and become saints who glorify God.
