What do we believe' (11)

One.
The Christian faith began with the Resurrection. The 'Apostles' Creed', which we are now contemplating, also started with the confession of the resurrection. It can be said that the 'resurrection event' was the 'hatching event' of Christianity.
Sometimes, there are people who claim this. "Because our salvation was completed on the cross of Jesus Christ, there was no need for a resurrection. The focus of Christian faith is on the cross, not on the resurrection."
At a glance, it seems like it would. But I am saying this because I am not confident about the resurrection.
By saying this, you think that even if the resurrection turns out to be false, the Christian faith will still survive.
But if the resurrection had not happened, no one would have acknowledged that the crucified young man was the Son of God. It was only after the disciples and the first believers met the resurrected Jesus that they began to ask about the meaning of the cross. If the resurrection had not happened, the cross of Jesus would have been forgotten as one of countless crosses.
The problem is that it's hard to believe in the resurrection. First of all, it is scientifically inexplicable. If it is 'resuscitation' rather than resurrected, it can be scientifically explained. But the resurrection is not the subject of scientific study. This is because science can only study and analyze phenomena that occur within the material world. Resurrection is an event that transcends the material world.
In Korean, 'resurrection' (復活) means 'to live again'. So it's no different from 'resuscitation'. The Greek word for recycling is anastasis.
