Title: Seed of Life

One of the trends that saddens us in today's social reality is the attitude of disrespect for life. Due to economic difficulties, even their immature children are forced to participate in companion suicide to annihilate their lives. Also, in the name of love and religion, they glorify and distort mass suicide as a way of martyrdom. Unable to control a small emotional excitement, there are situations in which a propane gas canister is set on fire, causing harm to the surrounding good-natured neighbors.

It is understandable to some extent that when economic life becomes difficult, crime increases, psychological stability is impaired, and society as a whole becomes unstable due to increased stress. However, a bigger and more serious problem is today's overall culture, which lacks a proper awareness of the most realistic reality of life. Today's economic contraction, which is accustomed to recognizing everything in terms of quantitative thinking and quantitative measures, is driving us into despair and pessimism that has reduced our lives and lost hope.

As we face the pain we experience in today's historical context, we must do deep introspection. Pain, as a real reality among the realities of history, stimulates introspection and lost consciousness, leading us to pursue new possibilities.

The quantitative concept we have so far is a game that favors people with power and numbers. So, only the conflicting thinking of enlargement and reduction worked there. In a way, the trigger for self-dialectical creation must have been closed thinking.

But the words of the Bible we read today invite us into a new world. Jesus pursued self-identification by characterizing his final Passion as 'a grain of wheat'. However, while stating the paradox that even this single grain of wheat must perish, he delivered the creative self-diagnostic thinking that yields 30, 60, and 100 fold fruit.

Up to now, we have only been accustomed to power from over, not to power from within. The Principle of Life has a self-dialectical process of enlarged reproduction, thriving and re-creation. So we say that life begets life.

What we need today is the spirit of a grain and a spirit of a grain of wheat. Regardless of the number, if the information and ability of life are inherent in it, a single grain becomes a seed that opens a new world. It is an era that requires new thoughts, spiritual consciousness, self-philosophy, and a vision for a new world we live in, a vision that can qualitatively transform this world. The economic problem is not only the economic problem of bread, but it cannot be separated from the spiritual and spiritual problem that nourishes the life of the meal.

In this regard, let's meditate on today's Word together.

 

First, it is to realize the principle of life. The Gospel of John has various metaphors for Jesus, who is the truth and God. Light, living water, rock, truth, eternal life and life. The truth we desperately need today is the truth of . All three things are one great living being. Life is formed in a chronological composition. The principle of God who becomes this life and the recognition of faith are the basis for our vocational life.

As Christians, we do not regard the life we live, the life itself as simply living, but a life of calling to realize God's will together with God, and view our life itself as a life standing before God, who is life.

The comprehensive concept of life is more absolute than any other concept. Therefore, the method of coexistence, which saves, preserves, and cares for life, and the method of contradiction, which degrades and destroys life, can be methodologically classified. Life has its own principle, which operates on the principle of mutual care and penetration under the whole system of life. In other words, life feeds on love and grows. We need to deeply question what it means to live in the presence of God, who is life, and have a new awareness.

 

Second, life can be cared for with love.

A grain of wheat is the substance and substance of life, but the Lord teaches that the way to save this life and become life is the way of the cross of self-denial. The cross is nothing but an expression of God's love for life. All living things in the world, inanimate, living, and plants, all they need is love.

The truth is recognized through the way of the cross. The Apostle Paul taught his life and said that all that was left was to offer ?y body as a burnt offering.??It is an expression of a love devoted to one's whole self for the truth, Jesus Christ.

The principle of Protestantism is 'theology of the cross' as opposed to 'theology of glory' as Martin Luther insisted. Luther experienced God's desperate love for mankind through the cross of Jesus Christ. He testified that only this love of the cross of God becomes the power to save mankind and the world. That is why he proclaimed the theology of the cross to all who want to be born of the truth and be born again.

The Lord tells us that one grain of wheat must rot. This is a request to us for the life of the cross, serving life and loving it.

 

Third, hope for new possibilities.

This miracle of life is not an external power. It implies a leap of immanent possibility. All the miraculous events described in the Bible started with what people had. There is a reason why God first asked, ?hat do you have???in order to perform a miracle. Scientists tell us that changes in the intrinsic leap of mutations are hereditary. A grain of wheat, the seed of one life, now bears 30, 60, and 100 times the miracle fruit. This life exemplifies the resurrection life for us. He assures us that there is not a world of darkness, despair, and death, but a world of life of light and mercy.

 

From the 'seed of life' we read today, we learned that solving today's problems is connected with the problem of knowing the principle of life and living as a matter of practice, knowing Jesus as a whole and living as his disciples. There is no new change, no progress, no perfection without dying with Jesus on the cross and resurrecting with His resurrection in order to obtain the most precious life.

Today, here, we can only wait and nurture the possibility of a new world that transcends darkness only when we have a decision to participate in the life of Jesus Christ, who is the seed of new life.
