Title: Seeking Peace!
Seek Peace!
Psalm 122:6-9 06.07.26
The Israeli greeting is 'Shalom', which means 'peace'. Because they have lost peace for a long time, they have always longed for the preciousness of peace in their hearts.
One of the gifts God has given us is our salvation, and one of the gifts we enjoy in the physical world is peace. So, in today's text, he said, 'Seek peace.' We have many things to seek before God, such as material things, health, food, clothing, shelter, work, and business. But above all of this, we must seek peace.
One of the common desires of mankind today is peace. Even if you live in a beautiful and safe mansion, where there is no peace there will always be anxiety and fear, and if there is a conflict, it is like a prison or hell. Please believe that only when there is peace can you enjoy the meaning of life. Then you seek peace, but for what
First, we must seek peace for the church (Psalm 122:6).
“Seek peace for Jerusalem.” Here, ‘Jerusalem’ symbolizes the church. The church is a peaceful church. You can see that the saints always have joy on their faces, and they are overflowing with gratitude, hope, and blessings even in their conversations. The mission of the church is mission. In order to do missionary work, the church must be at peace.
Acts 9:31 says, “So the churches of all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria were in peace, and they went on strong, and they proceeded in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, and increased in number.” So we must seek peace for the church.
Second, we must seek peace for our families.
If you do not have peace at home and you do not enjoy rest at home, you will wander in the world. So we must seek peace for our families. If there is joy in the home, you can go out and overcome the sadness. If there is hope in the family, we can endure even when there are difficulties. When the family is at peace, everything is at peace.
Proverbs 15:17 says, “It is better to eat vegetables and to love one another than to eat fat cattle and hate one another.” It is better to love each other while eating vegetables than complaining while eating meat.
Third, we must seek peace for our country.
Luke 11:17 Jesus said, “Every nation divided against itself shall be desolate.” If we fight each other within the country, the country will perish. So we must pray for the peace of the country. And we must work together in the pursuit of peace.
In Matthew 12:25, it is said, “No town or house that is divided against itself shall stand.” If there is a dispute in the neighborhood, you will fall down, and if the house is in dispute, you cannot stand. Even if there are weaknesses, shortcomings, and faults, a person with peace brings peace to his family, organization, region, and country because of him.
Fourth, seek peace for yourself.
(Proverbs 17:22) “A joyful heart is good medicine, but a troubled spirit dries up the bones.” The greatest medicine that God has given us is joy.
John 14:1 says, “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me.” Romans 8:6 says, “The mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace.” do.
Also in John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. What I give to you is not as the world gives. Let not your hearts be troubled, and do not be afraid.” Only when we have the peace of Jesus can we be freed from the worries and fears of our hearts.
Dear saints, God is
A prosperous life for those who seek peace (Psalm 122:6)
A life full of peace (Psalm 122:8),
He promised a blessed life (Psalm 122:9).
I bless you in the name of the Lord that you may prosper and enjoy the blessings of peace by seeking peace for the church, family, country, and yourself.
