Title: Sense of knowing when
2014. 4. 27 Sunday morning worship service
Bible: Matthew 16:2-3
Title: A sense of knowing the time
Matthew 16:2-3'2. Jesus answered and said, "If you say the sky is red in the evening, it will be a good day. 3. If the sky is red and cloudy in the morning, you say that today will be a bad day. You know how to discern the weather, but you cannot discern the signs of the times." - Amen.
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the eternal hope of life and the work of renewing the senses of life. Unlike ordinary people who live rationally as new beings (saints) who have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit, we, believers, want to share the message of what we need to live with the <sense of knowing the time>.
1. Bible truth is the principle of life
When you become a saint, the Bible becomes your philosophy of life because you are regenerated by the Holy Spirit.
John 16:13 “But when the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth… ”
No matter what the circumstances, God will help and give grace to those who have the Bible as their life principle.
2. Living according to the senses of the Holy Spirit
The Bible is the purpose of life, and how to respond to specific elements of life must be guided by the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:16).
For example, if I have to move or where I go, how do I want to meet my partner as a person who is about to get married, and is that wish justified for me? You need the guidance of the Holy Spirit when you see such decisions.
in preaching the gospel
2 Timothy 4:2 “Preach the word, do your best all the time, in season or out of season.” I see that you don't just go out at any time and anywhere.
Acts 16:6-7 ‘6. The Holy Spirit prevented us from preaching the word in Asia... 7. When I came to Mysia, I tried to go to Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow me'.
The Bible moves people based on common sense, but sometimes it transcends common sense. In the text, Matthew 16:3 says, “.. You know how to discern the weather, but cannot discern the signs of the times.” While we are living in the world, our actions must be sensible by using the spiritual sense that the Lord is leading us.
