Title: Serving Life/John 13:1-17
Content Serving Life/John 13:1-17
Our church will elect the first ordained deacons through a temporary business meeting after the 3rd service today. The system of ordained deacons is a system created by God to allow the early church, the Jerusalem church, to share the work of the church, which is increasing as it grows. He placed his hands on his hands and appointed deacons to take the lead in fulfilling God's work and vision through the community. He allowed them to show true leadership through a life of service. In addition, God wants the lives of all believers to be a life of service. I pray that we will all be able to decide on a life of service on the Sunday when ordained deacons are elected to lead the life of service. How can we live a life of service?
1. You must learn to do ( ) unconditionally from the Lord. (v.1-2)
“...And he loved his own who were in the world, and he loved them to the end.” (v.1)
2. You must find your inner ( ) in God. (v.3)
“...and that he had come from God and that he would return to God.
Know” (v.3)
3. You must be able to receive the service of others as ( ). (v. 4-9)
“Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, wash not only my feet, but also my hands and my head.” (v.9)
4. You must believe that there is ( ) in heaven and on earth in your life of service. (v. 17)
“Blessed are you if you know this and do it.” (v.17)
Through the words of today's text, we saw the example of true service that Jesus showed. As I said today, I want you to learn to love unconditionally. Before serving others, we want to adorn our own inner world in the Gospel and the love of God. And I hope that you will experience the essence of grace that you can receive with gratitude for serving others. Furthermore, I pray in the name of the Lord that you deeply realize that the life of service is the happiest, blessed life and the source of blessings, and that there are many concrete ways of serving.
Application Questions: 1) Do I love the people around me unconditionally?
2) Am I at peace in God? Are you anxious?
3) Am I grateful for the service of others? Are you embarrassed?
4) What kind of life do I believe to be the most blessed life?
