Share good things (Galatians 6:6-10)
There is a saying, “Gojingamrae” (苦盡甘來). It's difficult now, but it will get better later. Everyone lives with expectations of good things. Not everyone can say these things. Seniors, adults, and leaders who have gone through that process can do it. Also, people who have not experienced the process but have the ability to guess can do it. The life of faith is also difficult in a way. It is painful now, but it is because we live with the gratitude of those who have heaven. I am having a hard time accepting the present situation more painfully because I do not have confidence in heaven.
There are those who squeeze in this reality and lead them astray. There were such people in the Galatia church. He taught that those who came from outside must be circumcised as well as the gospel. Because it was an area where foreign gods were worshiped, there were people who accepted the gospel, but still confused the way they worshiped foreign gods. Teaching became more important because of those who, despite having heard the clear gospel of Jesus Christ, fall into false teachings. As the number of believers increased, I needed someone to devote myself to teaching. I needed a space where I could be taught. Therefore, we are exhorting those who should join us in accepting and maintaining the gospel.
However, it is not only the visible that the teacher can receive with pleasure. It's about coming to the teaching place, paying attention to the teaching, discussing the teaching, reflecting on the teaching, and applying the teaching to life. The owner prepares a delicious feast and waits for guests to enjoy the food. I think it's rewarding when guests appreciate a lot of things, are happy to eat deliciously, and hear good rumors about the feast. Just as a teacher always prepares the Word to teach, so learners always rejoice when they show that they are with those they teach. If there is anything one should do as a person who knows the truth of the gospel, it is an exhortation to be zealous in building up the body of the church in a healthy way, not in legal acts. As you share in the joy of the master, I pray that you will become a saint who participates in the joy of those who teach.
When should we serve those who teach? I encourage everyone to do good. Efforts are being made to help Japan, suffering from a tsunami and fearful of a failed reactor cooling. There is no tomorrow for those in need. What makes Japan's earthquake even more pitiful is that Japan, which would be second most embarrassed in terms of advanced technology, collapsed in the face of natural disasters, and the shock of other countries comes like a tsunami. There are no boundaries to whom the saints can help. It transcends all dimensions of race, region and society. It means that you already have the phrase ‘as much as you have a chance’. Because we have been loved, we can love, and since we have the hope of eternal life, there is no obstacle in sharing the things of this earth.
Still, there are some things that deserve more attention. The word ‘more’ means superlative, especially, very. In addition to the universal admonition, one thing is for believing families. It is for those who preach the gospel. Those who are taught are to be looked after with special care at every opportunity. From evangelists, to believing families, from church communities, to local communities, to the nations, we must fill the world with greater strength and undying passion.
Hearing of wars, famines, and earthquakes is a warning of the imminent time. It is because there are ministers who teach the right truth that we can be protected from heresies that come in even more disturbing in the last days. I pray that individuals and communities will be built stronger by being with those who teach with the heart of a debtor who received the good news of the gospel.
