Title: Sign of Faith
Contents
The incident of Lazarus, whom Jesus raised from the dead, taught us the importance of faith in our lives. Especially in Jesus' words, "If you believe, you will see the glory of God" is sure to give us a great challenge. So why is faith so important? The answer is simple. Salvation comes only through faith.
God works through faith. God sees our faith. And when that faith grows, you will see the glory of God. In this sense, faith is paradoxical. We do not believe because we see, but because we see because we believe. Today, this time, we want to learn true faith in the process of raising Lazarus from the dead. We want to examine what moves God's heart and what is a sign of faith that brings about God's miracles and God's grace.
1. Prayer is a sign of faith.
When Lazarus was ill, the first thing the sisters did was pray. Who prayed? People of faith prayed. We must believe in the promises and answers of prayer. When we pray, we must pray in faith. The reason God works through those who pray is that faith is stirred by those who pray. Therefore, those who have faith cannot live without prayer. Also, prayer builds faith. When we pray, we do not pray without a concept. Hold onto the word of God and pray. I hope you believe that strong faith will arise when you hold on to God's word and pray like this.
Martha's weak faith grows stronger the moment she hears the words of Jesus. At first, when Jesus told Jesus to move the stone away, Martha said that she had been dead for four days and had a smell. Then the Lord said, “Did I not say that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” As soon as she heard those words, Martha had faith. And you will obey those words. In this way, miracles are God's blessings that those who believe and obey them.
2. Obedience is a sign of faith.
