The Bible is the tree of life that God gave us to eat with confidence for our lives. When you read the Bible from a bird's eye view and eat the Word by believing it, you will receive life and peace, which is the mind of the Spirit, and reject the tree of knowledge of good and evil which is the mind of the flesh. Jesus wanted to demonstrate the attitude and attitude of the Messiah to his disciples in various situations and to strengthen their faith.
To those who were interested in him, to those who were hostile to him, and to those who were indifferent, Jesus treated him with an unchanging Messianic attitude.
1. Journey to demonstrate evangelism
Jesus took his disciples and traveled to various towns to demonstrate the field of evangelism. Even in the face of unexpected circumstances, Jesus did not deviate from the principles of discipleship he taught his disciples, and had a dignified attitude and attitude as the Messiah.
2. The Messiah's sign was given so that John the Baptist would not stumble.
John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus as the Lamb of God. When he was imprisoned, he expected Christ to do something to rescue him, but when he knew that he was doing nothing and working for others, John, in a situation where he would stumble (11:6), sent his disciples to ask a question to provoke Jesus. did ‘Are you the one to come? Should I wait for someone else? (3) Jesus answered John's disciples' question.
1) The blind can see - In the Old Testament, there was no miracle for the blind to gain sight. This was the fulfillment of the writings of the prophet Isaiah, a clear proof that no one but the Messiah could do this (Isaiah 35:5).
Just as God said let there be light on the first day of creation and divided the light from the darkness, the work of salvation takes place when Jesus, who came as the light of the world, opens the eyes of the spiritual blind.
2) The lame walk - The lame cannot use their legs, and the lame cannot walk with Jesus, who is the way, the truth, and the life of God. After being saved, you can walk the path of new life (Matthew 9:5-6, John 5:8-9).
3) Leprosy is cleansed - Leprosy is a disease that comes from Miriam's blasphemy against Moses (Numbers 12:1-10), Naaman's arrogance, and Gehazi's greed. Every fallen person is like a leper, and must live in a state of inaccessibility and seclusion from the holy and pure kingdom of God. But when the Lord came and cleansed the leper, he redeemed the filthy sinners and made them clean people of the kingdom of God.
4) Deaf Hearing - Deaf people cannot hear the word of God. Only after receiving salvation can you hear the voice of the Lord. The demons block their ears so they cannot hear information from heaven, and they cannot hear even if they blow the flute. And it tries to push out the information of the sky by filling in the information of the knowledge tree, which is the information of the earth.
5) The dead are raised - Spiritually the dead in sins and trespasses (Ephesians 2:1,5) are like a group of dry bones, unable to contact the living God. After being born again by the Holy Spirit, we can communicate with God through the born-again spirit. Only Jesus Christ, who is life and resurrection, can raise the dead.
6) The gospel is preached to the poor. - All people in the world are Christ, God, and hopeless (Ephesians 2:12). As soon as they receive the gospel, they become rich in Christ (2 Corinthians 8:9, Ephesians 3:8). There is the fullness of the One who fills all things.
Conclusion: Even if I have a situation like John the Baptist, I should be thankful and rejoice when there are six signs that Christ saved me.
