Title: Silence of God/Habakkuk 1:1-17

The prophet Habakkuk was a prophet of Judah in the 7th century and was active alongside Nahum and Jeremiah. This book was probably written in the last years of Jeremiah, just before the destruction of Jerusalem. The question that the prophet Habakkuk had to have at such a time was the question of why God is silent about evil.

Habakkuk the Prophet said that great iniquity was committed against Judah, which is said to be the people of God.

have witnessed that The Prophet Habakkuk said that because of the wickedness, lawlessness, and violence of Judah,

I cried out the word of God, but nothing changed (verse 2). Above all, God's law

There was no faithful response to the law.

“Therefore the law is lax, and justice is not very well enforced, because

Because it surrounds seals, justice is perverted” (verse 4).

To “become slack” means to become impotent.

So it was about not being able to show off. No justice is enforced

Didn't. Situation where the righteous can use their power because the wicked surround the righteous

that this is not the case.

In this regard, the conflicts and questions the prophet Habakkuk had were great. frankness

In other words, it was the question of why God was silent and still.

Rather, it was about why God allows such evil.

The question was whether God was doing something wrong.

But what God is saying is that the situation will be even more terrifying.

is. God turns the eyes of the prophet Habakkuk to the Gentiles. Chaldea

that men (Babylon) will rise up and bring violence against God's people.

It is the Word (verses 6-10).

It will not happen slowly, but very quickly (v. 11).

God's Word is not as optimistic as the Jewish people think

is. God forbade Judah from committing iniquity and iniquity, contrary to God's covenant.

You see it as the opposite.

So God will thoroughly judge Judah's uncovenantal thinking.

that is all. The way of judging Judah, who has a non-covenant way of public affairs, is that

I will make the non-covenant people, who have the same mindset as the field, attack Jerusalem.

You are declaring that

This is what our believers look like today. I believe that only I can live a good life of faith

each. I work hard for Q.T. Christian Books Hard for Your Faith

also see. I think it's a hell of a world anyway. So don't worry about the world

I think only I can do it well. Of course, giving up your interest in the world and living

It's not entirely wrong.

But you have to know that faith is not everything. I Hansa

If you only think that things are going well, you do not know yet what the riches of God's life are

a person who can't. The eternal life you have given me will never save a single person from the world.

This is not the kind of salvation you seek.

In fact, this was exactly what the prophet Habakkuk had in mind. God is alive

He thought that Judah, whom God had chosen, would never perish (12

section). He thought that only Judah, chosen by God, had to perish.

At that time, all the people of Israel also thought that only their own country would prosper.

I was saying That is why it is the wicked (Gentiles) that do well for God's chosen people.

It was that men) could not attack their own country in vain. So the wicked

It was a protest against whether it was right to insult and plunder God's people.

But because of this, God was silent. no, more ferocious than israel

You lifted up the Chaldeans against Judah, but you didn't say anything.

All. Only the nation of Israel is God's chosen nation and God's chosen nation

The way of thinking that, as a country, foreigners cannot tamper with, is irrelevant to the covenant.

it was

What God wants to show us through His silence

What is? It shows how terrifying the nature of human sin is.

All. Because God is silent, Judas abandons even interest in God

Have you ever practiced lawlessness and violence, thinking that God does not exist?

All.

Man can do anything at any time if he thinks that God does not live like this.

He's a sinner enough to do whatever he wants. How far did that extreme figure go?

I did. God sent his son to this land, and people couldn't kill him

I was tired of standing. In the end, he was crucified and put to death.

But the Lord was silent and patient until he took up the cross. it is

How naked is the sinfulness of the liver, and how terribly hostile to Christ

It has been shown that you can do it. fearless of God

It has been completely exposed as a person who opposes.

What did God do when Abel was killed by Cain and Lamech killed many?

did you? Have you been playing with the angels in heaven? non-covenant series and

Let the line of the covenant become to the point of being judged by the flood by intermarrying with each other.

did you sleep? It wasn't. God intentionally grants limited grace

You solved it. Only then will the nature of the sin be clearly revealed.

is. It shows how terrible sin is.

Just because God is silent does not mean that God is not working.

All. Jesus said, "My Father works until now, and I work" (John 5:17).

I did. God sent his Son Jesus Christ to this earth and

You silenced the complaint.

“He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth;

Like a lamb that is led to the field, like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, it opens its mouth

did not do it” (Isaiah 53:7). He showed the extent of the sins of mankind.

I did. Then, God prepared for the ascension of his Son, the second coming of the Holy Spirit.

And he himself accomplished it on the part of God. people love jesus

When he was pouring out his killing anger against God, God

You have established the kingdom of life for the castles. Now God has saved his people

You are meeting him at home.

Nevertheless, we believe that God is at the forefront and working.

Some think that it is all but also the God who works in places other than the cross

I think he's a better god.

God outside the cross is one of the amazing miracles or powers that can attract people's attention.

I don't know if I can understand you. But God through his children

He is a God who works in Himself. because God wanted the cross

Because the cross that his son carried became the only joy.

Because the prophet Habakkuk cried out with the law, the people of the world agreed with it.

There was no way the evil in the world could be fundamentally changed. the world today

This is the part you don't know.

Since sexual problems are serious for adolescents, we provide sex education and improve sexuality to some extent.

You think that if you do, sex crimes will decrease. But it is not.

You should know that it is about the sinful nature of man. open the evil

This does not weaken the nature of sin.

Therefore, we take the problem of social evil seriously and

We do not cry out to live spiritually and try to make things right, but only the cross of Christ

It should be revealed that it was the only way to solve our sins. except for the cross

We must show that there was no alternative to our sins.

God was silent on the cross. Man's arrogance and protest against God

Accusations God was silent about such things. never towards humans

He did not bring down the Lord and his wrath anew. But God is never silent.

It was not that you were alone.

God was not silent, He was working through the cross. therefore

The kingdom of God and life are to be revealed only in the cross. The Cross

It is a place where my regrets cannot enter. able to protest my discomfort

not a place.

Therefore, a believer is the silent cross where he died even if he did not shout loudly.

You must be someone who exposes the sins of the world through your family life. Where human wickedness is

Let us testify with the cross of Christ, where God was silent. one because of human sin

The event in which you had no choice but to remain silent was the cross...
