Bible: John 21:15-18
Before entering>>
Today, we would like to share grace with you through the sermon titled “Simon, son of John” through the words of this text.
If we look at the words of today's text first, it is a scene where Jesus came to visit his disciples again after his resurrection. Among them, he came to Tiberias, that is, Galilee, to find Peter.
If you look at the words of the text, there is a scene where Jesus looks at Peter and calls him three times.
“Simon, son of John”
Please put your names here and try calling once.
“Son of God ( )
Imagine that my name is called by God and by Jesus.
Perhaps you can understand Peter's feelings even a little at this moment.
Jesus who called me and made a disciple while I was fishing, Jesus who never left and accompanied me during the three years of our life together, Jesus who rebuked and praised and taught me, and even betrayed me because I didn’t know Jesus. The same Jesus who said that he would forgive me is now calling himself again in front of him.
For Peter, the call of Jesus now will be remembered as a moment he will never forget for the rest of his life.
Jesus, who called Peter on the beach of Tiberias today, is still calling us in the same way, and he has a purpose for calling us.

First, it is to do an intermediate check of your faith.
Until now, we have been running diligently looking forward while living our life of faith.
As a result, we did not know what kind of path of faith we had been running, and we did not look back at whether it was the true path of God.
At this point, you should pause, catch your breath, look back and check where you are going.
Here is what Jesus calls Peter.
‘Simon son of John,’ are you the Peter who followed me?
‘Simon son of John,’ is this the disciple you confessed that I am Lord?
‘Simon, son of John,’ is this Peter, who denied that you did not know me and ran away?
But now what are you doing here? that is.
Where should Peter be now?
But now Peter has left Jerusalem and is working as a fisherman again in his hometown of Galilee.
In this case, where is Peter, who knew Jesus best and followed Jesus the most? of the problem.
