Text: Leviticus 6:1-30 06.hwp
Sins committed against people do not end between people, but it is important to have a relationship with God. Through the text, we try to find the cause of discord and its solution.
1. What is a sin against a neighbor? (2-4) Denying the fact even after being entrusted with another person's property, embezzling,
Acquiring someone else's property and not returning it, cheating on a transaction, using violence to get the wrong thing
Denying is a sin (4). These sins are against the law, and violating the law is a sin against God. Therefore, the sins committed by one another have a deep relationship to God, and also reveals that we are not faithful to God.
2. You must pay for the crimes against your neighbor as prescribed (5). On the day that the crime is revealed, it is stipulated that what is given to the particle is compensated by adding one-fifth of the stolen compensation. “When you are offering your gift, there you think that your brother has something against you. Leave your gift at the front of the altar, and go first and be reconciled to your brother. Then, come and leave your gift in front of the altar. ” (Matthew 5:23-24). 3. The resolution of crimes against neighbors must be forgiven from God. A person who makes reconciliation with his neighbor must go to God and offer a trespass offering. The offering is a ram without blemish, and the offering will be brought to the priest, and the priest will make atonement for the sinner. It is the Lamb, Jesus, who took away our sins and became the sacrifice and made atonement for us by dying on the cross, so we can be forgiven.
Holy Sacrifice (Leviticus 6:8-18)
Everything related to God is holy. The sacrifices are holy, the offerings and offerings to Him are holy, the days He has set apart are holy, and the people, institutions, regulations, and offices that He has established are prosperous. We call His love holy love, grace divine grace, power divine power, wisdom divine wisdom, living according to His will a holy life, service for Him holy service, etc. All things related to him are holy.
1. All sacrifices are made in accordance with the ordinances commanded by God (8-11).
2. The fire on the unit is always lit so that it is not extinguished (12-13).
3. To become a fragrant smell before the Lord (14-15).
Fragrant worship (Leviticus 6:19-23)
The grain offering is largely divided into a public offering and a priest offering. It refers to the sacrifices offered by the general public. This sacrifice is not offered at any time, but only when offered according to the word of God to become a fragrant worship that Jehovah receives.
1. Worship according to the Word (19). How should we worship God today?
Since God is a Spirit, we must offer it in spirit and truth.
2. Worship with fragrant jams (21). In verse 20, “the day of the anointing” refers to the day of the ordination of the priests.
The worship we offer today should be the worship that we give ourselves to by being completely submissive.
3. Worship with complete fire (22). Worship to Jehovah is not done for any commercial purpose or selfish footing.
It must not come out of it, God does not want human hypocrisy or forced worship. He is the one who happily receives and blesses the saints' pure worship, repentance, thanksgiving, and praise.
