Title: Sincere Prayer (2 Kings 22:14-20)
Content It can be said that prayer and the Word are the elements of Christian life and the center of worship. Prayer is what I want from God, and the Word is what God commands me to do.
In order to lead a good life of faith and to worship God that is pleasing to God, you must have a sincere prayer life and obey God's Word with Amen. Among them, prayer is the privilege of the saints who are children of God. Also, answering prayers is God's faithful promise and duty.
Therefore, the saints should not stop praying and pray that is acceptable to God. Then, when is the time to accept that prayer, I will tell you the following three things.
1. Morning prayer (Psalm 5:3) (1) Because it is a sincere prayer. God said that whatever is first belongs to God. Devoting the first hour of the day, the first language of the day, and the first task to praying to God, means sincerity.
(2) Because it is a prayer that contains thanksgiving. This is because, in the early morning after one night, everyone naturally becomes grateful and refreshed.
(3) This is because it is an earnest prayer. A common mistake that people who pray is repeating over and over again. However, morning prayer is the most suitable time for prayer, because the body and mind can offer it with pure and pure devotion unspoiled by the world, and its content can be earnest and clear.
2. Prayer in times of persecution (1 Peter 4:14) The best time for parents to listen to their children's needs is when their children are seriously ill because they feel compassion. Of course, when we are strong and healthy, we need to pray even more when we are persecuted and angry.
Therefore, please believe that the time of tribulation is the time when God's blessings will come.
3. Prayer of Repentance (Psalm 51:17) The time the Lord accepts prayer is when we repent of our sins.
David's prayer was accepted because he repented of his sins, not because his prayers were cut short, the hours were too long, or his fluency. Therefore, Jesus preached that repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. God is pleased and gives grace when we truly shed tears of repentance.
