Title: Six Elements of Peace

On Saegi (1302) The Six Elements of Peace (Matthew 5:9)

1. Faith

2. Repentance

Real peace comes from peace with God. If the door to peace with God is opened through repentance, problems will be resolved and peace with people will be achieved. Then the body becomes healthy. In particular, diseases such as headache, high blood pressure, chronic gastrointestinal disease, allergic rhinitis, asthma, insomnia, arthritis, neuralgia, and cancer require the ability of peace through repentance. Even fractured bones can adhere easily if the mind is at peace. Ultimately, repentance significantly increases the chances of healing. People think that the source of happiness lies in their environment, but the truth is that happiness lies within themselves. If you are not happy when you are living alone, it is difficult to be happy even if you are married. True happiness comes from gaining the power of shalom through a deep relationship with God.

3. Humility

Pride is the vanguard of destruction. If you are arrogant, your stomach hurts a lot. In the old days, when a cousin bought land, his stomach hurt, but now, when a cousin buys land, headaches, stomach pains, neuralgia, and even high blood pressure occur. On the other hand, when others are doing well, applaud them and say, “I have to do well too!” And if you make a good decision, even a sore stomach will be healed. Think of me as having a better name than others. Sometimes there are people who are important to you even if you don't know their names. Such a person is a necessary person. Even if people do not know, only God the Father needs to know. If you seek God's recognition and gain God's heart, you will not lose your peace of mind under any circumstances.

4. Thanks

Among the spirituality, there is the highest spirituality. It is a spirituality that is grateful for everything. In order to be grateful for everything, it is necessary to have an eye for finding gratitude in the ‘ordinary’ rather than the ‘unusual’. The Bible compares the grace of God to dew. The cessation of dew is a symbol of curse, and the dew that falls quietly every day symbolizes God's blessings that are quietly given every day. People say, “Grace!” If you do, you need something miraculous to know that it is grace. So I know that only the miracle of curing an incurable disease, the miracle of earning a lot of money, and the miracle of suddenly becoming a Cinderella are the best. However, it is not a miracle that comes once in a while that saves the soul, but a grace like the dew that God silently gives every day.

5. Tolerance

The hardest thing for a person is forgiveness. However, if you forgive well, you will be given peace. Be generous, but don't ask for tolerance. Three things are necessary for generosity to flourish. First, we need to recognize the difference. Everyone is different. Some people hold the toothpaste under the toothpaste and squeeze, and some hold it over the toothpaste and squeeze. Second, we just have to accept each other. If we try to change each other, it will be difficult, but if we accept and love each other as we are, God will change us. Third, we must open our hearts to each other. If you open the door of your heart, the door of blessing will also open wide. Real happiness comes when you make others happy. Success and blessings are not limited to the 'winner's cup'.

6. Sharing

If God had made all humans alike, there would be no discord, but such mechanical peace is not God's will. The peace that God desires is an active and active peace that arises when the haves help the have-nots and the strong serve the weak. So, to be a peacemaker, you have to give well. Methodist founder John Wesley often challenged himself. "Everyone! Earn your best, spend your best.” Money spent is more meaningful than money earned. Only well-spent money is recorded in the books of heaven. Just as a fountain needs to be scooped up to deepen and clear, so the fountain of the soul deepens and becomes clearer when it is drained down a corridor. Money is an ‘object to be used for good’, not ‘an object to be loved and left behind’.

Instead of becoming a person who only has the talent to believe in Jesus and attend church, think about how to demonstrate God's love and truth in a wonderful way and jump into the field of sharing. The dark age in the Middle Ages came not because there were no churches or members, but because there were a lot of church members without sharing. God made them study to take care of those who did not study, gave them health to take care of those who were not in good health, and gave them materials to show God's love and truth while taking care of the poor. According to the will of God, give back what God has given to good things nicely. Just like when you give a bouquet of flowers to the hand of the giver, the scent of flowers comes first. If you give, share, and give, you will be happy first.
