Title: Small Things

Let small things be trivial (Mark 10:17-25)
There is only one young man in the whole Bible who knelt to the ground and asked. I asked very seriously. In verse 21, Jesus said that he loved the young man. Seeing this, the Lord must have loved him. Jesus said. At this time, Jesus made a decisive statement.
There is a conclusion.
Seeing such a young man, Jesus left a message for all mankind to remember.
Successful people have an eye for trivial things and the important things. But those who fail are the opposite. The little things are important, and the important things are trivial. The rich young man valued the little things, and the important things trivial. There are two things the rich young man valued the little things.
1. The law was trivial, but it was considered important.
The rich young man said proudly. It shows the courage to keep all these things. You can see that he is so proud of the law. But Jesus was not interested in the law. There are things more important than the law. (Mt 19:21)
More important than the law is love. The German legal spirit is amazing. This is the story of a senior who studied in Germany. I had a German friend who shared the same room. One morning I got a call from home. A Korean friend put him in the car and ran at full speed. I was driving at a traffic light, speeding violation. I barely managed to get on my first flight. I sent my grateful friend on the plane and returned to the dormitory at a leisurely pace.
Three days later, three traffic tickets were sent. Germany There were no road cameras. It was dark at dawn, so no one had seen it, but it was strange who reported it. Then I got a call from a friend. This is the German legal god. But more important than the law is love. Grace. The young man is boasting that he has obeyed the law proudly, and Jesus is telling us to love the poorer than that.
More important than the law is love of neighbor. Jesus did not say this to the young man who proudly said he had kept all the laws.
You didn't say this. He did not say a word about the law, but told him to sell his possessions and give to the poor, and follow me. Then he said that there will be treasures in heaven. Jesus said that the law is trivial, but more important than the law is love and salvation.
Love is more important than law.
2. Matter was trivial, but it was considered important.
Material things are trivial things, and more important than material things, Jesus said, is love for neighbor and charity. You said that you should learn to take small things into consideration.
A rich young man. There are many substances. But more important than material things is charity and love for our neighbors. Wealth is not that important.
There is a deacon at the prayer center that I know well. My son went to America to study abroad for a long time. I studied very well. Now, after a long study abroad life, I received my Ph.D. and I had one week left to return home. I went to the supermarket. As I was leaving, a black man at the door opened fire and asked for my car keys. The son quickly ran inside. A black man shot from behind. died instantly. The butler went and grabbed his son's body and wept. As I prepared my sermon, I spiritually heard the cries of hell. It is the sound of lamenting in Hell after defrauding, murdering, and robbing people who value wealth.
The young man couldn't take the little things lightly. They valued riches and valued their neighborly love.
The incident took place in November 1986 in Arizona, USA. A jeweler named Smith accidentally stopped by the chief exhibition. He was startled. There was a price tag on the stone. (20,000 won)
He was a sapphire, not a stone, to a professional's eye. Mr. Smith called the owner of the exhibition hall and asked. The owner said 15 dollars was expensive. Mr. Smith, without hesitation, paid $10 and came home with a sapphire. He split the stone and used his skills to make and sell necklaces, bracelets, and rings. It was a whopping 2.28 million dollars, or about 3 billion won. Only those who know the value know the value.
Wealth is trivial, but love of neighbor is important. The young man in the text was trivial, but the important things were the law and wealth. But on the contrary, there are two things that are important and trivial.
1. poor man
The young man looked down on the poor and did not value them. Jesus said that giving a cup of cold water to a thirsty person is giving him cold water. He said that if you put a garment on your naked neighbor, you are putting it on Jesus. He said that looking for someone in prison means looking for Jesus. The young man could not see his poor neighbor. So I'm coming to this conclusion.
And that's it. Where did you go? Simple. He did not return to Jesus no matter where he looked in the Bible. Text The young man looked down on his important neighbors.
2. Heaven's Treasure
The treasures of heaven are important. The treasures of heaven are God's reward. God's settlement is the treasure of heaven. It is appointed for a person to die once, and after death comes judgment. You will surely stand before the judgment seat of God. It is the final judgment of God. On that day, we are running on the path of faith to hear God's praise and receive treasure.
I would be supremely happiest if the Lord would hold me on that day and say this. I will weep when I receive this treasure.
This young man did not see the treasures of heaven and passed away sadly. If you give it, God will give you a treasure, but they changed their corruptible riches and treasures and went back sadly. When we see him grieving for his riches, we cannot help but mourn. Could that young man be you and me?
The final evaluation of the Lord is really an evaluation. The treasure that the Lord gives us on the last day is the true treasure. This young man did not see tomorrow, but only saw today and returned sadly.
That's right. Little things should be taken seriously. What is important should be taken seriously. This young man regarded the law and wealth as trivial in the eyes of the Lord. This young man regarded his neighbor and the treasures of heaven as trivial things. Recognizing trivial things as trivial and important things as important is spiritual discernment. I bless you in the name of the Lord that such grace may be with you.
