Title: So, Wake Up

So stay awake
Matthew 25:1~13 (Deuteronomy 42)
It is often said that all people are alike.
But even people who look alike are slightly different.
A little difference can make a difference in your life.
Jesus taught this by telling the parable of the ten virgins going out to meet the bridegroom. Let's consider the difference between wiseness and foolishness through the text.
1. They are all the same.
People are equal. All are equal before the law.
The human rights of all people should be equally guaranteed and respected.
Whether healthy or sick, rich or poor, educated or ignorant, male or female, regardless of race or lineage, deserves respect. Also, people have the same life cycle.
They are born in their mother's womb, become a child, become an adult, and sometimes get sick. And as we get older, we grow old and eventually we all die.
Not only that, but the feelings they all feel are the same.
Sometimes I feel pain and sometimes I get frustrated because I can't achieve my dreams.
2. Not all are equal.
Just because everyone is equal and has the same life cycle doesn't mean the results are the same.
When the people of Israel entered Canaan, all but the tribe of Levi
Everyone was given land. However, as the years passed, some people's wealth increased, while others turned over the land they were assigned to due to debt and sold themselves as slaves.
They all got the same chance, but the results were completely different.
This fact shows that people are the same, yet different.
The same is true of the ten virgins in the story of the text.
They are the same in that they are waiting for the groom.
But five of them were wiser than the other five,
I even prepared enough oil.
3. You cannot depend on others.
One of the key messages of this story is that oil is not borrowable. The foolish virgin was ready, but lacked oil.
When the bridegroom was delayed, the oil ran out, and he asked the other five virgins to share the oil, but was refused.
While the foolish virgins went for oil, the bridegroom came, and eventually they were not allowed to participate in the wedding feast.
You must not borrow oil to participate in the feast.
Because no one can help.
Likewise, no one can replace us or help us when we stand before God.
Each of us must stand before God with our own faith.
In the end, the five foolish virgins who did not prepare oil were not allowed to enter the wedding feast.
I begged to open the door, but the answer I got was, "I don't know you."
When Jesus returns and the wedding feast in heaven is held, there are many people who will not be able to attend.
Jesus said that we should always be awake because we do not know the day or time of the Second Coming.
you taught
Be wise saints who wake up and prepare enough oil.
Satan puts us to sleep so that we cannot meet Jesus.
But we must always be awake. That is wisdom.
By preparing oil, everyone participates in the heavenly feast on the day Jesus comes.
