"It must be done soon"
Revelation 1:1-3
The book of Revelation is the inevitable end-time revelation given to the apostle John, a disciple of Jesus, when he was exiled to the island of Patmos (Rev.
The word 'Revelation' means 'to open the covered things' or 'to open the closed lid and turn it upside down', and as it is called 'the revelation of Jesus Christ', the character of the book of Revelation is revealed.
1. First, we see that the origin of the book of Revelation is mentioned.
In Revelation 1:1, it is called “the revelation of God.” “It was given to him by God,” he said. This indicates that the origin of the book of Revelation is divine.
Again, in Revelation 1:1, it is called “the revelation of Jesus Christ”. It is said that God made a revelation to His Son, Jesus Christ. He was the only begotten God in the bosom of God the Father (John 1:18).
Then it was said that it was a revelation given through an angel. In Revelation 1:1, it says “through the angel”. Then it was called the revelation that he instructed. “The angel was sent to his servant John to give him instructions” (Revelation 1:1).
And finally, it was said that the revelation was given to us, “the servants” (Rev 1:1).
Therefore, the book of Revelation originates from God, and through Jesus Christ to the angels, and to the apostle John, it is finally given to us. Then the book of Revelation is a divine, supernatural product. It is never a human product.
2. The necessity of revelation.
In Revelation 1:1, it is said, “It must happen soon.”
It means "for sure".
This word means 'must be' event. It is inevitable, not coincidental. It is a purpose, not blindness. It is a reality, not an illusion or an illusion.
Then he said, “It will happen soon.” This refers to the fact of an unequivocal event. This word is about an event that has to happen in a timely manner and realistically.
This phrase is repeated several times in the book of Revelation.
For example, Revelation 2:16 says, “Repent therefore, or else I will come upon you quickly, and make war against them with the sword of my mouth.”
Revelation 3:11 says, “I am coming soon; hold fast what you have and let no one take your crown.”
Revelation 11:14 says, “The second woe has passed, but behold, the third woe is coming quickly.”
Revelation 22:7 also says, “Behold, I am coming soon, and blessed are those who keep the words of the prophecy of this book.”
Revelation 22:20 also says, “He who testifies of these things says, ‘Truly, I am coming soon.’ Amen, come, Lord Jesus.”
What is a 'must be done soon'?
It refers to the universal judgment at the end of the day at the second coming of Jesus. And it refers to the event of the ultimate salvation fulfillment of believers in Christ. Therefore, the existing world history is not accidental, it is inevitable. It is moving towards an end that will surely soon come. The apostle John said that in these last days, he testified of the words of inevitable events and the testimony of Jesus Christ, that is, everything he had seen (Revelation 1:2).
3. There is a blessing of revelation that must come soon.
Revelation 1:3 says, “Blessed are those who read and hear the words of this prophecy, and those who keep what is written in them, for the time is near.”
1) First, he said that those who read the end times revelation are blessed.
Blessed are those who read personally, read as a family, and read in public.
2) He said that those who hear are blessed.
(1) Hearing while meditating (Psalm 1:2), (2) Hearing with longing (Psalm 119:82, Psalm 19:10), (3) Hearing with spiritual ears open (Revelation 2:7), (4) People We must listen to the word of God, not the words of God (1 Thessalonians 2:13), and (5) we must listen with faith and obedience (Proverbs 2:2, Hebrews 5:12, 1 Samuel 3:10).
3) It is said that those who keep it are blessed.
Just as (1) a woman values and keeps her chastity. (2) It is guarding just like a watchman guards a castle. (3) It is to keep as a person keeps his treasure.
The reason for reading, hearing, and keeping this necessary revelation is that the time is near.
Saints!
The history of the individual and of mankind is planned, purposeful, and necessary. It can never be chance, blindness, repetition of meaninglessness, or dialectical evolution. The reason is that the master of history is the living God Himself. Through John, God revealed the truth of the end times, which must come soon. It is inevitable. It is an irresistible truth that man can never distrust, reject or change.
I pray that all of us will become blessed ones who read, hear, and keep the truth of the end that will soon come.
