Title: Sometimes the Lost Sheep (Jeremiah 50:6)
It is said that my people are a lost flock, and the shepherds made them go astray. If you are a shepherd, you must lead the sheep on the right path, on the contrary, they deliberately let them go astray.
1. The relationship between God and the chosen people The relationship between God as the shepherd and the people of Israel as the sheep is pointed out in several places in the Old Testament and taught and recommended from that principle. However, the chosen people of Israel cut off the most gracious relationship of “the Lord is my shepherd” and turned away from worshiping pagan idols, not true shepherds. This is a phenomenon that God hates the most and grieves the most. A shepherd is always devoted to the sheep, but it is tragic that the sheep themselves abandon the shepherd.
2. Parable of the Lost Sheep There was a shepherd who had one hundred sheep, and one of them was lost (Luke 15:3-). The Good Shepherd left the ninety-nine sheep in the field and went out to find the one lost. When he found it, he carried it on his shoulders with joy, and came home and rejoiced with his friends and neighbors. If we look at the cause of the sheep's loss here, the shepherd's responsibility is to some extent, but the sheep's responsibility is greater. That is, they trusted the shepherd and did not follow him. Or, if you think that the bad idea of going to a place where you are alone and eating and playing on your own is a bad idea and secretly escaped by yourself, then the sheep's actions were bad and the misfortune of losing it was chosen by you.
3. A flock of sheep going by the way The sheep hear the shepherd's voice. When the shepherd calls his (sheep) name, he must follow him. Wherever the shepherd leads, you must follow it. However, it is said that the sheep were led astray here. This was a situation in which the priests and prophets, the spiritual leaders of the nation of Israel, who were pastors at that time, did not give proper guidance and went astray themselves, so the sheep naturally had to follow the other way. The sheep that do not meet the good shepherd are not only unhappy in the end, but also lose their precious lives because of the shepherd.
Conclusion: Although Jehovah is the true shepherd, there are some who are wrong among the shepherds who are active on earth. You must obey and follow God, who is the spiritual and good shepherd, in order to lead a blessed life.
