Title: Spiritual Worship / Romans 12:1-2

Contents

Text: Romans 12:1-2

Subject: "Spiritual Worship"

The Reformation served as an opportunity to achieve many developments in Christianity, but

If there is one thing that has changed among them, it is “worship”.

Worship before the Reformation

It was heavy and dark, and the praise had a sad melody.

However, after the Reformation, worship

It was bright and cheerful, and the praise became cheerful.

Why?

Worship before the Reformation

While it is worship of worshipers who do not have the emotion of salvation and thanksgiving,

Worship after the Reformation

It is because we are overflowing with emotion and gratitude that we have been saved only through faith.

1) Modern Worship

So what about today?

● There is a forced worship service.

It is simply religious worship.

It may also be compulsory worship.

● There is also a worship service offered voluntarily.

It is about knowing the meaning of worship.

Also, why we worship is focused on God's grace.

Even if the worship is held in the same place and in the same order of worship

Who is the worshiper? How are you? Is it like the saints carrying the heavy burden of sin before the Reformation?

Or, are the members of the church who were moved by the burden of sin after the Reformation?, the shape of worship and the quality of worship were revealed.

● Cain and Abel were brothers.

Because Cain was a farmer, he offered grain offerings.

Abel was a shepherd, so he gave it as a sheep.

But God rejected Cain's offering and accepted Abel's.

Some say this discrimination is a difference in sacrifice, but it is not.

There was no difference in the offerings, as they were sacrifices made with the products of their respective professions.

The fundamental difference is

There was a difference in faith and heart between the two brothers.

Cain, if it was the obligatory sacrifice offered in due time,

Abel was a sacrifice of voluntary service with gratitude and emotion.

Abel's offering proved it.

Genesis 4:4 "Abel offered the youngest lamb with its fat..."

Abel's first baby! Oil! No matter how much it cost, God regarded its meaning and value as precious.

Unfortunately, this meaning is not found in Cain.

Therefore, the Bible declares about Abel:

Hebrews 11:4 "By faith Abel offered to God a better sacrifice than that of Cain, and he received evidence that he was righteous, for God testified of that gift, for he died, but by his faith he speaks."

In the end, Cain had the same faith as Abel! thank! There was no volunteering.

But something more serious than these offerings is discovered,

God not only rejected Cain's sacrifice, but Cain's worshiper! He soon rejected the personality itself,

Conversely, he also received the person of Abel and his sacrifice.

Why?

Cain had sacrifices, but he had no life and no character.

Genesis 4:7 "If you do good, how can you not be welcome? If you do not do good, sin is at the door. Its desire is with you, but you must rule over it."

After all, according to God's warning and pointed out, he became the first murderer to kill his younger brother.

Our worship! How is it?

Is it a compulsory worship service only ceremonial?

Or is it a worship service of gratitude and emotion to offer this body because as a debtor of grace, even if we always repay it, we cannot repay it?

We are only a royal priesthood.

Because I am called to serve you better

A worshiper like Abel!

We must strive to have a sacrifice like Abel.

2) Worship

Worship to God is

It is a holy ceremony that brings glory to God and grace to worshipers.

Even if it's just one worship

Good luck with this worship service

Would you believe it if you gave it the wrong way and ruined it?

● One of the successful candidates is Solomon.

A thousand sacrifices were made.

The sacrifice was made with cattle, so the labor and expenses were great.

God came first, gave us wisdom, and gave us wealth and glory that we had not asked for.

● The losers are Aaron's two sons.

He died while burning incense with other fires that God had not commanded.

● They are also the sons of the priest Eli.

The whole family had to die while eating the boiled offerings first.

God still refuses to worship and worship like Cain.

You receive worship with worshipers like Abel.

Do you know why he was called a royal priesthood?

1 Samuel 2:30 "Whoever honors me I will honor, and those who despise me I will despise."

● I often hear that when I went to a church, the service was either alive or dead.

Also, he complained that the service of a church in the United States was deeply moved and graceful, but the church in Korea did not.

good to see

That's why the cow's "renewal of worship" is also called out.

However, true worship renewal is

It is not about renovating the chapel, replacing old instruments with good ones, increasing or decreasing the order of worship.

Yes, worshipers need to change.

● You must be born again as a worshiper who worships with the Holy Spirit, not a worshiper who observes.

● You must become a worshiper with a dream, not a worshiper who wants to receive from God.

● To worship one hour, you must be a worshiper who prepares for a week of life.

God is always interested in people.

Therefore, worship is more important than worship.

John 4:23 "The Father is looking for those who worship him like this."

Do you want to be a worshiper that God is looking for?

Do you want your worship to be acceptable?

If so, pay attention to the text.

① Get a change.

Be a man of the Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is “Dunamis”.

It means dynamite.

Saints who have the Holy Spirit are grenades,

The church where the saints gather is a gunpowder,

Their worship should be like the explosion of a gunpowder.

This explosion is so powerful

He overcame the persecution of Rome, Hitler, Japan, and communism.

They also overcame poverty.

Now we have to overcome the humanism of the last days, the materialism of capitalism, and the bustle and fatigue of the modern times.

What are you talking about?

Don't make excuses for making a living

It means that worship should be the center and priority.

② Life must be holy.

Romans 12:1 “Present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God”

It is difficult for believers to become worshipers only on Sundays.

Also, there is a shortage of worshipers in the chapel.

Everyday life must be sincere and holy.

The praise of the lips should be given, but

In order for that praise to become true, we must achieve God's praise in our lives.

Seonggusa Mo, the president of the company, suffered a heart attack when he was terribly poor.

But I was dying because I didn't have 40,000 won.

Then, with the help of someone, he underwent surgery and survived.

After that, as his living conditions improved, Elder Lim went to Severance Hospital with 400,000 won and handed it to the doctor in charge.

The doctor asked what was going on!

At that time, I almost died because I didn't have 40,000 won.

Where is the law that there are no such patients even now?

If a patient without money comes urgently, anyone is welcome, so please do not refuse and fix it with this money.

Since then, Elder has been helping one patient with heart disease every year.

Spiritual Worship!

It's not grandiose.

This is the life of the saints who have received the Holy Spirit.
