Spiritually Disabled / Luke 4:16-24
It is estimated that 10% of the global population is disabled. Many people may wonder if we have any reason to save these people, but the Bible says that whatever you did to the least of them on the last day of judgment, you did to me. He said that when I was naked and imprisoned, those who help me, that is, those who give alms, will enter the kingdom of heaven. Relief is an expression of God's love, and only those who have received God's love can provide relief. If the number of physically disabled is 10% of the total, then the number of spiritually disabled is 80%. In God's eyes, the number of spiritually disabled people will be greater. They have eyes but cannot see and have ears but cannot hear. So how do we get our eyes, ears, and legs to move?
1. You must be filled with the Holy Spirit.
When you are filled with the Holy Spirit of the Lord, you can overcome spiritual obstacles and work powerfully before God. To have a healthy soul, you must be filled with the Holy Spirit. Jesus, too, was filled with the Holy Spirit and began to do all his work. The work of the Holy Spirit in this world can be divided into two main categories. It is to rebuke sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to stop the growth of lawlessness. It will be the main work of the Holy Spirit to testify of Jesus Christ through these things. Then, the power of the Holy Spirit to suppress evil and bring about good will be the image of a person who has received the Holy Spirit. In this way, God's workers must be filled with the Holy Spirit, and these people will be the light and salt of the world. It is to be a bright lamp that illuminates a dark world. The Holy Spirit works not only in the world but also in the church. Sing praises to God and dedicate everything to worship. And he does history in the Bible. When we become deeply immersed in the Word of God, we are perfected and empowered to benefit and do every good work.
2. The gospel of the Lord must be preached.
Only when the gospel is preached can we avoid spiritual obstacles and achieve spiritual growth. Even when the gospel is given the same, there are those who accept it and those who spit it out. It is said that those who accept the gospel are poor love. The poor accept not only physically but also spiritually. He said that a person who is spiritually broken or broken in heart is spiritually poor. The gospel is preached to the blind, captives, and those in sin, and those who accept it will be set free.
3. The year of the Lord's grace must come.
The year of grace refers to the year of jubilee. At this time, the slaves will be set free, and both humans and nature will be freed from human touch and will receive the blessing of returning to God's property. If it is the greatest hope of the disabled to be set free from physical obstacles, our hope in spiritual obstacles is to be freed from all bondage. It is the day the Lord shows us His grace.
I will conclude
A blind man cannot become a servant of God. If you have two legs and cannot walk, you cannot be a servant of God. Therefore, we must be freed from spiritual obstacles before God. You must be poor in heart. You should not criticize and criticize others as if you were a perfect person but have a poor heart. I hope that I can become a person with bright spiritual eyes who can see God as God, know idols as idols, and distinguish between what is more important and what is less important, what to do first and what to do later, and God's will and mine.
