Title: Stay awake (Matthew 24:32-44)
Content There are several important doctrines in Christianity.
There are theology, creationism, anthropology, sin, soteriology, christology, ecclesiology, eschatology, angelism, demonism, demonism, ... among them, creationism, soteriology, and eschatology find important weight.
Creationism is 'In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.' It says that God created all things in the universe and created human beings in God's image. This is a special doctrine of Christianity that is not found in other religions.
Then, the theory of soteriology is that God established the law and sent prophets to save mankind who were living in sin and disease because of the fall, but humans did not listen to them, so Jesus Himself came to this earth in the flesh and died on the cross. After being resurrected and active for about 40 days, after ascending to heaven, He sent the Holy Spirit on behalf of Jesus to work through the Church through the Holy Spirit and fulfill the plan of salvation. Only our Christianity has a clear soteriology.
Then there is the eschatology. This is the end of history and the completion of history. We believe in the end of the history of Jesus coming back to judge good and evil after the gospel has been preached to the ends of the earth. We are now living in an unsettling time when more terrible sins are overflowing and the end of history is about to shake our values. However, those who believe in Jesus live with the hope that Jesus will ultimately triumph with the Second Coming. This is the eschatology of Christianity. The eschatology of our Christianity also has a clear cosmology and eschatology that no other religion dares to do.
Today, we are going to build our faith by dealing with a part of eschatology in the middle.
The central thesis of the eschatology is
1. It means that the second coming of Jesus is near.
A third of the Bible is prophecy. This prophecy has already been fulfilled and there is a part to be fulfilled. Among them, there are three representative prophecies in the Bible.
The first is the fulfillment of the first coming.
The second is the descent of the Holy Spirit.
After ascending to heaven, the Holy Spirit came down when the 120 Mundo prayed together in the Darakbang. Both the first coming and the coming of the Holy Spirit have been fulfilled.
Finally, the second coming of Jesus is an event that must be fulfilled in the future.
The Bible speaks of the Second Coming of Jesus more than 300 times. The Apostle Paul also mentioned the Second Coming of Jesus on more than 50 occasions.
The prophecies of the Bible are now appearing as they are. War between the same peoples Nationalistic national self-interest between different peoples Continental self-interest has created a crisis of war and shows signs of doing so.
Germany fought against each other, Vietnam fought against each other, and Arab people fought against each other during the Gulf War, and now South and North Yemen are fighting with each other, and single ethnic groups are fighting each other on the Korean Peninsula.
In this global village, 40,000 people die of hunger every day.
And because of pollution, a huge area of land is becoming desert.
Earthquakes are occurring nonstop around the world, and disasters are increasing more and more than in the past due to various huge winds, floods, air pollution, and natural disasters.
There are also false prophets and antichrists.
I used to say that love would grow cold with the prevalence of lawlessness. Now, lawlessness that was unimaginable in the past is spreading. If you look at today's world, the signs are taking place in many parts of the world as prophesied in the Bible.
In the history of mankind, there is a final judgment in which good and justice triumph, and this will be the great judgment that distinguishes good and evil among mankind on the day of the Second Coming when Jesus ascends to heaven and returns again.
However, since this is a one-time event, there are many cases where we think that it is non-existent, neglect it, and overlook it.
The same is true of the second coming of Jesus.
Because it is a one-time event, it passes as if it did not exist.
Even at the time of Jesus' first coming, the Messiah prophesied, but when he came, only a very few people, such as the shepherds and wise men in the fields, knew.
However, the time of the Second Coming does not come like that.
He said that He would come so that everyone in the world would know.
(Acts 1:11) He said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand and look into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way you saw him go into heaven."
(Rev 1:7) Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, and those who pierced him will see him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn over him, so it will be, Amen.
This is the end of the world.
Then when are you coming?
2. He comes at an unknown time.
When a society or country is complicated, Satan makes you feel a sense of crisis and begins the work of seducing the saints. It is clear in the Bible that no one knows that day and hour. Only God knows.
In Matthew 24:35-36, Jesus himself said, 'Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.' But on that day and hour no one knows, neither the angels in heaven nor the Son, but God the Father.??We can see and know the fact that the day of Jesus' coming is near as evidence, but we never know when one day He will come. At that time, only God knows, neither Jesus nor the angels know, but it is wrong for humans to use their heads or emotions to calculate their words.
(Matthew 24:40) ?쏛t that time there will be two men in the field, one will be taken and the other left.??Said. This means the rapture is the rapture.
You never know at some point the Lord may come and call us.
(Luke 17:24) As lightning flashed under the heavens from one side to the other side, so it will be with the Son of Man in his own day.
I bless you in the name of the Lord that you will be blessed with joy when the Lord suddenly calls you.
The attitude of our saints
3. Always awake, ready and waiting.
We must always be ready.
In Matthew 25, there is a parable of the ten virgins.
The five wise virgins wash their lamps well, prepare oil, and wake up waiting for the bridegroom to come in the middle of the night. However, the five virgins, who did not even know that the oil had run out, went crazy and did not prepare, could not meet the groom and suffered great sorrow outside.
How was Noah's Flood?
When God said that He would judge by the flood, Noah's family of eight were saved while building a boat and preparing, but others ate, drank, married, married, and played without believing.
The Bible predicts that even in the last days, it will be like the days of Noah.
(Matthew 24:37) As it was in the days of Noah, so will the coming of the Son of Man be.
(Matthew 24:38) Before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered the ark, and they did not understand until the flood came and destroyed them all. So will the coming of the Son of Man be. lira
(Luke 17:26) As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be in the days of the Son of Man.
(Luke 17:26) As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be in the days of the Son of Man (Luke 17:27) People ate and drank, married and married until the day Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.
(Luke 17:28) And it will be like the days of Lot.
People were eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, and building (Luke 17:29), and on the day Lot went out from Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them (Luke 17:30). So it will be on the day of the appearing of the Son of Man (Luke 17:29). 17:32) Remember Lot's wife (Luke 17:33) Whoever wants to preserve his life will lose it, and whoever loses it will live.
(Luke 17:34) I tell you, that night two men will be lying in one bed, one will be taken and the other left.
(Luke 17:35) Two women are grinding their rods together, and one will be taken and the other left.
(Matthew 24:42) Therefore, be awake.
For you do not know on what day your Lord will come (Matthew 24:43), for you know that if the owner of the house had known at what point the thief was coming, he would have been awake and would not have broken through the house (Matthew 24:44). Be prepared, for the Son of Man comes at an hour you do not expect.
Let's think about a few ways to be awake.
1) It is a word to evangelize
(2 Timothy 4:2) Preach the word. Be persistent, in season and out of season, rebuke, rebuke, and exhort with all patience and teaching.
2) It is an effort to live a holy life.
(James 4:8) Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
3) It means to love the Lord more.
(Psalm 128:1) Blessed is everyone who fears the LORD and walks in his way.
(Psalm 145:19) He will fulfill the desires of those who fear him; he will hear their cry and save them.
4) Strive for service
5) It is about persevering and overcoming tribulation and trials.
(James 1:12) Blessed is he who endures temptation, for when he is approved in this he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love him.
6) Waiting for the Second Coming of the Lord, watch and pray.
(Luke 22:46) He said to them, "Why are you sleeping? Get up and pray, so that you may not fall into temptation."
conclusion:
We are living a life where we do not know when the day of Jesus' second coming will be.
(Mark 13:35) Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house will come, or whether it is at night, at night, at rooster crows, or at dawn.
Therefore, like the five wise virgins, we all need to be awake to evangelize, to live a life of holiness for ourselves, to love and serve the Lord and to watch and pray. Congratulations.
