Title: Stephen Like Jesus

Contents

Stephen was one of the first 7 deacons. He was filled with the Holy Spirit and while defending Jesus, he was stoned to death by the religious leaders. But he is like Jesus in life and death. What is Jesus like?

1. His work is similar

After the resurrection, Jesus told his disciples to be my witnesses. Therefore, whatever the Christian does, whether life is long or short, he must live a life of witness to Christ.

As a witness of Christ, according to the mission he received from the Lord, Stephen resembled Jesus because he died while evangelizing with passion for the salvation of the souls of his people.

2. His death resembles

Everyone is destined to die at least once (Hebrews 9:27). There is an honorable death, and there is a disgraceful death, and there is a majestic death, and there is a bitter death.

Some people do well in their lives, but there are people who face a shameful end when they die, and there are those who usually live without light and leave behind a halo. But Stephen had a successful life and a successful death. His death is a martyr's death, a death acceptable to the Lord.

3. His legacy is similar.

Judas Iscariot sold his teacher and got 30 pieces of silver. But it was a shameful legacy. But Stephen left no material legacy, but a great spiritual legacy. What did you leave behind?

First, he left behind a loyal butler. Second, it left a conductor image like deterioration. Third, he left a statue of a pious martyr.

Conclusion: If we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord; therefore, whether we live or die, it is the Lord's. (Romans 14:8)

Therefore, whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31).
