Title - Steps towards the Church
Bible-Acts 2:28
Among the members of the church, there are those who try to excuse their indolent religious life by using the theory of agnosticism.
They argue that all outward forms of the church should be rejected, and that there is no need for a specific place of worship.
They also feel that their body is the church and that they do not need a specific place of worship.
But if you look at their real life, most of them are completely different from that claim.
Rather than living a life of worship anytime and anywhere, they are engulfed in the waves of the world and lose their precious form of faith.
Therefore, today, we would like to look at the church as a place of worship and attitude toward the church while being wary of such evils.
Illustration - God's thing
A farmer's cow gave birth to twin calves, one brown and the other white.
The farmer was so happy that he took his wife's hand and said, "Honey, God has blessed our family with two calves. We should not have all of them, but let’s raise one well and give it back to God.”
The wife asked which of the two to give to God, but the husband put it off for a later decision.
One year later, one of the two calves fell ill and died.
Then the farmer said this with a grassy face. "What do we do? God's calf is dead... ”
Let's give the best to God. Faith is devotion, and devotion is serving God supremely.
1. Go forward with joy
Those who do not deeply appreciate God's wonderful grace tend to neglect the church.
Those who do not have a firm conviction in the hope of heaven take heavy steps toward the church because they are caught up in worldly values.
On the other hand, those who value worship the most go toward the church with a happy heart and light steps.
Whether we are at home, at work, or at school, we always wait for the church with longing for the worship time to come.
God regards the worship of these saints as precious, and gives them incense, and pours out heavenly comfort and blessings like water.
Yehwa - Love that never gives up
A few years ago, a young lady volunteered to be the homeroom teacher of a class of naughty boys at a Sunday School in Scotland. Among them, a boy named Bobby was a troublesome child that could not be dealt with. At Sunday School, Teacher Lee brought a new set of clothes and visited Bobby's house to keep her in attendance.
When the female teacher visited Bo-bi's house, Bo-bi had not washed her face, her hair was messed up because she had not brushed her hair, and her clothes had been rolled in mud and almost turned into rags. The female teacher gently told Bobby to change her clothes and come to church. But Bobby was also dirty and the church did not come out. The female teacher visited Bobby again. The new clothes were already ruined and raged. Another new set of clothes was presented and it was well put together. But still, Bobby didn't change.
The female teacher lost her strength. I went to the head of the Sunday School and told him that I couldn't do it anymore. However, the head of the Sunday School encouraged him by saying, "Don't lose your courage and keep going." This young, pony-like boy, unbridled by the continuous efforts of the female teacher, later grew up brilliantly and went to China as a missionary.
2. Go ahead with a ready mind
In order to successfully perform any task, you must prepare thoroughly in advance.
There is little more to be said about the worship of God.
It is easy for office workers to get caught up in a negligent mind, thinking that tomorrow is a day off on Saturday.
When you meet your worldly friends and spend time with them to places you can't attend, your spiritual life begins to falter.
So on Sundays, I overslept and rushed to church.
God is not pleased with such a careless attitude.
Before going to church, you must first pray with a reverent heart and have a heart that longs for God's grace.
We must be awake not only on Sundays, but throughout the week with a heart of longing for the church and preparing for worship.
When Jesus drove out the buyers and sellers and money changers in the temple, he said, “My house will be called a house of prayer, but you are making caves of robbers” (Matthew 21:13). you rebuked.
That's right.
The church is a house of prayer and a house of worshiping God.
Anyway, let's take a deep look into whether our faith is weak and making the church into a den of robbers.
Let's become all the servants of the Lord who long for the church with an earnest desire to meet God and serve Him.
