Title: Stop the division. Sunday sermon on October 8, 2006

I believe that God will bless you today.

Is there a world without conflict on this earth? In the military song “Flowers Blooming on the Battlefield”, they sing this song.

Originally, the purpose of military songs was to boost the morale of soldiers, inspire patriotism, and increase hostility toward their enemies. However, this military song has a very anti-war message. And its lyrics and tune are very lyrical. Here is what it looks like:

Title: Flowers blooming on the battlefield

1) The gunfire stopped and a flower bloomed. Like the incarnation of peace, I saw a flower, like the souls of warriors in this wild field.

Oh-my comrade, oh-my comrade, when this war is over and peace comes, I will find you...

2) Comrades who have oxidized like the incarnation of peace, flowers bloom for you

When the fire ceases in this land, I will offer this flower.

Oh-my comrade, oh-my comrade, when this war is over and peace comes, I will find you...

Everyone! In our human world, there is no windy day in ancient times, modern times, modern times, yesterday or today. The history of mankind has been full of quarrels and strife, and only the years of tribulation and war resulting from this.

As I always say, the work of Satan is behind all these things. What is a fight or war? It takes away our honor, our lives, our property, our cute children, our parents, brothers and sisters, and even our country and our nation.

Therefore, these things are referred to as destruction, that is, destruction. And this is what demons do, and it is the work of Satan.

Therefore, we must always receive the spirit of discernment. We need to know what is true and what is false. And we must listen carefully to what the Holy Spirit is saying to the churches.

And we need friends of good faith. What is a good friend? A friend who prays. A friend who advises on faith. A friend like this always holds the friend's church life firmly.

Of course, there is no one on earth that we can trust the most and trust. There is only one above, God, and that one. Therefore, we come today to our Lord who is closest to us.

That is why we want to open our hearts and meet our Lord Jesus Christ, who always comforts us, is a good counselor, and is our true friend.

This is John 15:15. From now on I will no longer call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing, and I have called you friends, because all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.

This is John 10:7-12. Therefore Jesus said again, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the gate of the sheep. 8 All who came before me were thieves and robbers, and the sheep did not listen. 9) I am the door; anyone who enters through me will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. 10) The thief comes only to steal and to kill and to destroy; I have come that they may have life and have it more abundantly. 12 The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep, but the wager is neither the shepherd nor the sheep his own. When he sees a wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away, and the wolves plunder and stray.

Everyone! There is always someone who sows weeds at any time, at home, in society, and in the church.

There are forces that act quietly and secretly without rumors. He who sows tares sows secretly at night.

It is Matthew 13:25. While the people were sleeping, the enemy came and sowed weeds among the grain, and went away. 26 When it sprouted and bore fruit, the weeds appeared. 27 The servants of the housekeeper came and said, "Lord, have you not planted good seed in the field? Then where did the tares come from? 28) The master said, “This is what the enemy has done. The servants said, Then would you like us to go and pluck it? 29) The master said to him, "Hold on, I am afraid that I will pull out the weeds while pulling up the grain. 30 Let both of them grow together until the harvest. At harvest time I said to the harvesters, Gather the weeds first, and bind them in bundles to be burned. put it in

There is a verse that explains this verse to make it a little easier to understand.

Matthew 13:37-40. He answered and said to them, "The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man, 38 the field is the world, the good seed are the sons of the kingdom of heaven, and the weeds are the sons of the evil one. 40) So, as the weeds are gathered and burned with fire, so it will be at the end of this world.

Everyone! Satan intentionally and deliberately tries to destroy a happy family or a gracious church. To this end, Satan seeks all means. That is why we must not always be vigilant.

Now, the Apostle Paul hears the news of the conflict in the Corinthian church. The situation is serious. At that time, there were four (4) factions within the Corinthian church. The first is the gathering of Paul's followers. It is a sect composed mainly of Gentiles.

Second, the followers of Apollos. These are the so-called intellectuals who want to intellectualize Christianity and turn Christianity into a philosophy rather than a religion.

The third is the Gueva wave. Cebar is the Jewish name for Peter.

The majority of the followers are Jews, and the party's

They are legalists.

And then the fourth, the Christian. Their faults acted as if Christ belonged only to them. In this way, although the church in Corinth gathered in the name of Jesus, they could not be united under the authority of Jesus. It was made to be (four minutes and five organs).

Of course, none of the persons named Paul, Apollos, or Cephas was intended by the parties. This was simply the work of its followers.

First, how was Christ divided?

Second, was Paul crucified for you?

Third, were you baptized in the name of Paul?

Everyone! Are there any similar disputes among you? Even if it is not exactly like this, is there not a factor in our church that could cause a similar conflict? Don't you use trivial excuses to create non-essential groups and create a sense of incongruity in the church?

Everyone! God does not want us to be divided. God is a God who wants us to be one no matter what.

Ephesians 4:1-4. Therefore, I, a prisoner in the Lord, urge you to walk worthy of the calling to which you have been called, 2) with all humility and gentleness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love, 3) striving to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Everyone! Our Lord bore the cross of suffering to make us one. Eli Eli Lama Sabachthani on the Cross-

Father, father, why have you forsaken me? While saying, ah, I'm thirsty

You suffered while doing it. He wore a crown of thorns on his head and bled. He took a spear in a copper spear and poured out water and blood lavishly.

And at that very moment, our Lord said: Father, into your hands I entrust my soul. And then he shouted out loud. I have accomplished everything. He did this and made his destiny.

At this very moment, the veil of the sanctuary was torn in two from top to bottom. Everyone! It was a moment of reconciliation between God and man. And because of the blood of Christ on the cross, the sins of our lives are forgiven and our souls are saved, the great cosmic event, that is, the event in the cosmic period of mankind, took place.

In the meantime, what is our human condition? They were just sinful human beings who deserved death, so they could not dare approach the holy and majestic God.

But from now on, I was able to come to God. This was solved because our Lord suffered His own suffering and shed His precious blood on the cross.

So our Lord does not want our sharing. You want to be one. Everyone! Our becoming one means salvation.

God wants to be one between brothers and sisters and between sisters and sisters. And ultimately, he wants us humans to become one through eternal reconciliation with God and to enjoy the blessing of eternal salvation.

Moreover, our Lord, who does not want the division of the Church, which is our Lord's body, only wants us to become one.

Finally, Ephesians 4:4-6. There is one body and one Spirit, in the same way you were called in one hope of your calling. 5) One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6) There is one God, the Father of all, who is above all and unites all and is in all. Amen.
