Title: Strange War 20.hwp
1. Strange Wars - The Bible sometimes commands things that go against our rational thinking. The text stipulates what the people of Israel must observe when they go to war, which is quite strange. In a situation where the number of horses, chariots and soldiers is absolutely thwarted, what does the Bible command that it is appropriate to supplement even one more soldier?
2. Selecting those to return home - What did it mean to send soldiers who had been on the battlefield back home? This is to emphasize that the victory or defeat of a war does not depend on the superiority of military power or the good or bad of operations, but depends on God.
In spite of any unfavorable conditions, God's people must depend only on God the King.
3. Criteria for those who will return to their home - Those who have built a new house and failed to hold the inauguration ceremony Those who have planted a vineyard and have not harvested the fruits So those who were afraid were sent back.
He who was drenched in fear and nostalgia was unfit for war. Even the saints who are engaged in today's spiritual warfare will never be used as soldiers of righteousness if they cannot cast away their regrets about the past or fall into fear because they are not sure of God's power.
4. The result of strange warfare - When Gideon faced the Midianite army and fought, he did not go to war with many soldiers. In the beginning, there were 32,000 men who followed Gideon, but only 300 of them.
They fought, but they were completely victorious. (Judges 7:2-25)
Against the giant Goliath, who was heavily armed with swords, spears, javelins, and shields, he trusted only in the name of God.
Let's remember that David was victorious (1 Samuel 17:45)
5. Declare peace first - This is not to declare war before war, but to [declare peace] first. We must not forget that we are God's people who should be at peace with others if possible.
What God wants is not confrontation and conflict, strife and hatred, but coexistence and unity, peace and love. Although it is the life of a believer who must lead a life of combat every day against the evils of this world and the lies of the Black, he must not lose his humility, gentleness, love, and peace in the midst of this.
6. The gentleness and peace of the saints do not mean submission and compromise with the world. Because true meekness and peace stem from restrained courage and ability to be properly controlled, it finally brings the saints the conquest and victory over the sinful world.
Are we trying to make peace with the world if we can?
At the same time, are you being aware of the sins and injustices of the world and are you thoroughly fighting them off?
