Subject: Strong Faith
Scripture: Romans 4:18-22
What do you need most right now? If you ask me, in various colors
would you answer? Some are healthy, some are family reconciliation, marriage partners, at work, at work.
Each person will talk about their own needs, such as promotions. But God
says that everyone needs something, but this is what we need the most
I say. What is it? your belief.
Why? Because faith is the most fundamental need. What does the bible say about faith
Yeoju is the key to fundamentally solving all problems and being able to solve them.
shows
So today, through Abraham, the father of faith, Abraham
By examining what kind of faith his beliefs were able to solve,
Those who truly want to live for the glory of God and a truly strong life
We want to think about what kind of beliefs people who want to live should have.
is.
In verse 20, it says, “Be steadfast in the faith.” In a word, Abraham’s faith
can be said to have been a strong faith. In other words
1. What about strong faith?
1) Faith that hopes and believes in the midst of hopelessness. (verse 18)
What did Abraham hope for and believe? According to verse 18, he was a hundred years old.
He said that he believed in the promise, "So shall your descendants be." Genesis
In 22:17, God said to him, "As the stars in the sky, as the sand on the seashore,"
He promised to give us descendants. When receiving this promise, "the death of Sarah's womb
Knowing they are the same” (verse 19), he said that he did not doubt by faith.
It was an impossible blessing. How about a hundred-year-old couple who cannot have children humanly?
Can you hope to have a son? But Abraham looked only at himself.
I was convinced by looking at God who has supernatural powers. (Genesis 15:6)
A strong belief is not just looking at the reality and feeling discouraged, frustrated, or doubtful,
Now, God, it is a faith that fully trusts and relies on the Creator Jehovah.
2) It is the faith that does not doubt the promise. (verse 20)
Abraham received three great promises from God. 1) All the peoples of the earth
It is the "Promise of the Source of Blessings" that reveals that you will receive blessings because of it. (Genesis 12:1-3) 2) Text
In verse 17, it is the promise of becoming “the father of many nations.” 3) Descendants of the faith will be alive
It is a promise to give. (Genesis 12:7) When we receive such great promises, our faith weakens or
It did not disappear, and I was sure without any doubt. So, in order to become a "source of blessing"
So I left the home of my relatives and fathers on the mainland without any regrets. That good environment, that fertile meso
Abandoned the whole of Potamia. And then "I went out, not knowing where I was going."
(Hebrews 11:8) A strong faith is the foundation of the word’s rule even in unpredictable circumstances.
You can see it in obeying and taking a step forward. When living according to human calculations
Faith cannot appear. It is what allows us to go beyond experience, reason, and knowledge.
as a solid belief. Abraham once wanted Eliezer of Damascus to be his heir.
I thought up to (Genesis 15:1ff) But “I will make you into a great nation, and
I will bless you and make your name great” (Genesis 12:2), when he promised, “Amen”
received. A hopeless passerby, a lonely traveler Philistine as a despised alien
He received the covenant of the land with “Amen” even while pitching a tent in the hut. Reason and Kyung
Only when we can say “Amen” to God’s covenant that transcends trials, science and knowledge is that faith.
It stands solidly on the semi-stone!
3) It is the belief that promises to be fulfilled. (verse 21)
God will show the people of the faith of the coming generation what a strong faith is.
He commanded his son to be sacrificed as a burnt offering on Mount Moriah for envy. (Gen 22
He was a son born at the age of 100, but “God is able to raise him from the dead.
believing that it will be threaded” (Hebrews 11:19) and he brought it up on the altar of burnt offering.
It was possible by believing in This belief meant that Isaac would become "the father of many nations."
It comes from the conviction that God's promise to us will surely be fulfilled.
Looking at God's eternal and unchanging disposition, he said, "He built an altar to the LORD,
I called Howa's name. (Genesis 12:8, etc.) The name of God, “Jehovah,” is the eternal covenant.
means the God of Those who believe in the eternal immutability of the covenant are strong believers.
2. Then, how does such a strong belief come about?
1) It occurs when we obey the word and work of God.
When God requires you to leave the mainland and your relatives' homes to become a source of blessing
He obeyed immediately, unconditionally. illegitimate children to become the fathers of the faith
When God exhorts Ishmael to perish, it transcends reason, emotion, and ethics.
I ended up When God commanded us to go to fulfill the promises of the earth,
He obeyed without hesitation and took a step, not knowing where he was going. Believe when you obey the Word
sound occurs. If you make excuses for reason, circumstances, and circumstances, your faith will weaken and eventually disappear.
Don't. Obedience when you try to obey the Word beyond reason, experience, ethics and circumstances
gives you the power to do it. ! Faith to believe according to the Word (Luke 1:38)
Faith (Psalm 119:9) Faith that is illuminated by the Word is strong. Faith like Mary, David
Let's break through the dark reality with the same faith.
A modern person who only believes in statistics can never become a believer. A strong belief is a contradiction
Impossible is not discouraged, frustrated, or doubtful in the face of statistics and experiences, but rather, “the possibility of faith”
I love it Please believe in what you can't hope for. I doubt what you promised
let's not Let's be sure that everything promised will come true. "Sturdy and wobbly
With a strong faith, all the pilgrims are to become those who do not lose heart and are always more devoted to the work of the Lord.
I bless you in the name of the Lord that you will liberate Yo-Grace Ministry Information- 97.11 ☞Sermon/Park Seong-gyu-mok.
