Title: Successive Repentance After Rebirth
John 13:8-10 ‘8. Peter said to him, "You will never wash my feet." Jesus answered, "If I don't wash you, you have no part with me." 9. Simon Peter said to him, "Lord, wash not only my feet, but also my hands and my head." 10. Jesus said to him, "I have already taken a bath." One needs only to wash his feet; his whole body is clean. You are clean, but not all.' -Amen.
The text reads that, rather than trying to teach us to be servants of one another as Jesus washed the feet of his disciples, the essential to receive eternal salvation is to be reborn as to washing the whole body, and to wash away sins like washing our feet every day. This is a message for repentance.
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God."
1. What are you reborn with?
John 3:5 “… Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
There are interpretations of water baptism, the Word, the Holy Spirit, and the blood of Jesus, and I interpret it as the truth of the Bible.
John 15:3 “You are already cleansed by the word I spoke to you.”
So, regeneration is something that happens only through the work of the Holy Spirit based on the Word of God.
