Title: Suffering is Good (Job 05:17-27)
The word “hard” means difficult. These painful and difficult sufferings follow you like a shadow while you live the life that is given to you. Just as a shadow cannot be separated from reality, we people cannot take away suffering whether we like it or not.
Verse 1 The body on the path of a painful life has nowhere to rest. There is no place for worry and anxiety.
Verse 2 Even if the cold wind blows in the wilderness, the road ahead is not far away.
Verse 3 Receive the Lord who saved me, and we will enjoy eternal glory. We will meet the saints whom we longed for, our hometown, the kingdom of heaven.
You can see the confession.
However, if we meditate on the words of the text, we can think of the words that suffering is beneficial to us.
The text of Job 5:17:27 says that Eliphaz, Job's friend, said to Job that God gave him suffering to punish him. Therefore, what Job must do is to accept God's discipline positively. . It is the word of promise that God will bless you again when you have faith in Amen that positively accepts that you have lost all your wealth, children, honor, and health.
In other words, we can think of the hidden meaning of God's discipline. That is to say, it is beneficial for our lives.
Blessed are those who receive the discipline of God. Do not despise the rebuke of the Almighty. God makes it painful, then binds it up, and wounds it, and then heals it with His hands; He saves you from six afflictions, and even if it is seven afflictions, He will not let them come upon you.
In our lives, the God of love delivered us from the affliction of death in the time of famine in verse 20, and the tribulation of the power of the sword in the time of war in verse 21. Even when we are vaguely accused of being innocent, God promises to deliver us and protect us through His Word.
When we think about these words at this time, even if many disciplines and hardships come to our lives, God promises to bring good benefits and blessings to those who endure and obey them well.
Dear brothers and sisters, we want to receive grace while examining the contents of the blessings that follow God's sufferings at this time.
1 You will receive the blessing of becoming bold in your faith.
Verse 22 says, “You laugh at destruction and famine, and you are not afraid of the beasts of the field.”
2 It is said that stones in the field make the covenant.
Verse 23 says, “When there are many stones in the field, it is difficult to cultivate, and there is no crop because there is no crop, but when the field has no stones.”
It is a promise that our businesses, families, and children can receive abundant and abundant blessings.
3 It is said that the beasts of the field make peace with you.
In verse 23 of the text, it says, “You can be victorious and protected from the power of fierce enemies and the power of demons.”
4 There will be peace in your tents.
Verse 24 says, “When God’s mercy and grace dwell with us and our tents, our tents will be at peace now and in the future.”
5 Your descendants will become many.
Verse 25 says, “Know that your descendants will be many, and your descendants will be like grass in a party.”
6 This means that you will live a long life.
In verse 26 of the text, it says, “Sheaves of grain will be like a lifted up at their appointed time.”
I believe that it is the grace of God that our lives are not cut in the middle while we live in this world and that we live long enough.
Just as a sheaf of grain is not cut in the middle, but ripe and cut and stored in warehouses, it is said that our lives will live long on earth, both spiritually and physically, and then, when the time comes, we will be taken up to heaven.
conclusion ; Now, let's summarize today's words.
Verse 27 says, “This is what we have studied; hear it, and know that it is to your advantage.”
Among these verses, “Hear, and see that it is beneficial to you.” These words were not only spoken by Eliphaz to Job, but were also spoken by God to us today.
Today, especially on Thanksgiving Day, when we give the first ripe fruits to God, I hope you have time to think about how my life has been up until now.
We pray in the name of the Lord that we will become believers in the name of the Lord, believing that all things will be beneficial to us and that He will give us blessings, no matter what we face, whether we are suffering from hardships or peace in our future lives, in the name of the Lord. .
