suffering of the ransom
(Isa 53:4-8; Matt 21:50-54)
There is no distinction between suffering and suffering. (...) However, there is a problem of how to understand suffering, how to endure suffering, and how to overcome suffering. Suffering comes because of sin.(...) Sometimes we do not understand the meaning of suffering.(...) There are voluntary sufferings, which are righteous sufferings. Let us experience the meaning of true suffering and the resurrection of victory.
Redemption means paying for someone. For example, paying a ransom for a slave and making that person free.(...) The Lord died for my sins and saved me.(...) As the Lord said, one grain Unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it cannot bear much fruit. Isaiah 53 speaks of the suffering of the atonement.(...)
① He was forsaken in our place (1-3).
Jesus was humbled and despiced in order to save us. (...) The righteous Lord became sinners and died, and sinners were forgiven and made righteous.(...)
② He bore suffering and sins in our place.
Suffering means physical illness. Because the Lord not only bore our sins, but also took care of our physical diseases, we were able to receive healing through His merits. Because he suffered sorrow on our behalf, we can come to God and receive comfort.(...) Jesus was pierced with thorns and wounded with whips because of us entirely.(...) Because the Lord was nailed to the cross, pierced with a spear, and shed His blood, we sinners who could not dare come close to God enjoyed peace with God, received forgiveness of sins, and looked to heaven. There is no one who can take responsibility for human sin. Because sinners cannot save sinners.(...)
③ He died for us.
The Lord was silent and patient even in the midst of suffering despite all kinds of inquiries.(...) Because Jesus became poor in our place, there was no grave for his body to be buried.(...)
④ You have won for us.
The Lord was resurrected and became a noble person (the authority who conquered Satan and the world) and won a great victory. Since Christ first showed us the example, those who follow in the footsteps are the ones who overcome suffering and understand the meaning of suffering. Amen.
