Title: Surely I Will Live (Ezekiel 18:21)
As mentioned in the text commentary, it is said that the principle of the law, the will and desire of God, is that the repentant wicked will live and the fallen righteous will die.
1. God who wants to live In the beginning, when He created all things, He created man in His image to make him the lord of all things, and He said, “Be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth and subdue it” ( Genesis 1: 28).
You must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, even though you have been taught about the tree of good and evil that was planted in the Garden of Eden. He said that in the day you eat of it you will surely die (Genesis 2:17). I believe that the meaning of these words was not to kill, but to save. Because the price of sin is death, did the God who declared that the soul who sinned must die? Rather, did he proclaim this terrible commandment to kill humans? will need to know God wants humans to live. You want to live right away.
2. God who makes life The principle is for the wicked to die for their sins, but he declared that if he turns away from all the sins he has committed and keeps all my ordinances and practices laws and righteousness, he will surely live and not die. The righteous live because they are righteous, and the wicked live because they repent. No, God makes you live. guide you to live
In other words, we need repentance to turn from our sins. That is why Jesus, while preaching the gospel of the kingdom, cried out as the first city to repent, saying that the kingdom of heaven is at hand. He taught the parable of the lost sheep in the sense that he wanted one sinner to repent rather than 99 righteous people who had no need to repent (Luke 15:). He appeared (Luke 15:).
Jesus even promised to go to paradise with a repentant murder robber at the last moment on the cross (Luke 23:). It is truly amazing.
Conclusion: Christianity is the religion of life. Humans who have left God will live when they return to God. And live forever. Whoever believes in Jesus will not perish but will live forever.
