Title: Sword of the Holy Spirit

Contents

20070930 Sunday Ephesians 6:10-17 (God's soldiers armed with the sword of the Holy Spirit)

In putting on the whole armor of God to oppose the devil, if we divide it into defensive and offensive weapons, then if these five are for defense, then the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the god of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, and the helmet of salvation. The sword of the Spirit is the only weapon that can be attacked.

The sword of the Holy Spirit is the Word of God.

We can use the Word of God most powerfully when the power of the Holy Spirit comes upon us. Our lives do not change so easily.

But only when the Word is anointed with the power of the Holy Spirit, it is changed.

If there is one thing we need to cry out most desperately, I believe that it is to pray for the anointing of me through today's sermon so that the witnessed word can come to me. If the Word does not come upon me, that is, unless the sword of the Holy Spirit comes upon me, my evil selves, sins, and unclean habits that should be thrown away will not be resolved.

Christianity does not simply depend on love.

A few armed with the Word sometimes show greater power.

Jesus was often many times ilhasil nagamyeo reducing the number rather than a rallying large crowds. Jesus performed the miracle of feeding 5,000 people with five barley loaves and two fish. It's a great miracle, and it's a surprise.

When Jesus testified on the cross to the many people who saw the miracle of this five fish, saying, “You must eat my flesh and drink my blood,” many people who heard these words dispersed.

John 6:66 “For this reason many of his disciples withdrew and walked no more with him.”

Even after performing a miracle, Jesus seems to have failed to gather people together.

When Jesus performed miracles and testified of simple words that were comforting to the heart, the crowds gathered. However, when Jesus specifically preached the Simza, the core of Christianity, many people dispersed. In other words, people gathered when there was no burden on their hearts and there was a visible benefit, but when he spoke the core of the truth, everyone left.

Here we must hold on to an important fact.

We should not ignore the proclamation of the truth for fear that the number will decrease.

Churches should not claim legitimacy by the number of members

The church must justify it by proclaiming the truth.

At that time, the crowds following Jesus gathered because of a sign.

They gathered to watch Jesus heal the sick who were suffering from various diseases.

John 6:2.26 “A great crowd followed them, because they saw the signs He does to the sick... You seek me ... because you ate the bread and were satisfied.”

Recently, Christianity has passed the recession and the number keeps decreasing. (Statistics)

There is a phenomenon that the church is weak.

Isn't it because the believers who are armed with the Word have not been born and continue to give bread, solve their problems, and seek a Messiah who heals their ailments?

The Jews wanted to make Jesus their king.

Keep in mind! The king who was established as the Messiah who satisfies his desires is an idol.

When Moses ascends Mount Sinai to receive the Ten Commandments, the Israelites ask Aaron for their own God to satisfy their needs. This is how the golden calf was created.

The religion that flatters human needs is the religion of the golden calf and the religion of idols.

Even if it mentions the name of Jehovah, the name of Jesus, the content is just an idol. The sad thing is that the reality is gradually moving towards a golden calf religion that only satisfies human needs.

Of course, it is precious to believe in Jesus, to be healed of diseases, to solve problems, and to have abundant eating problems. That's not to say it's bad. However, Christianity should not be complacent with that level.

What are the core truths of Christianity?

As a sinner, we cannot be saved by our own strength, and we can only be saved by being washed from our sins by the blood of Jesus Christ.

And after death there is resurrection. There is a final judgment. Heaven and Hell are real.

It is the most important truth to teach that the Lord who saved us wants us to walk the way of the cross.

Luke 9:23 And he said to the crowds, If any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.

After Jesus' miracle of the five diseases, what was the reaction of the people when he delivered the message of the cross to his followers and demanded devotion? Everyone left.

John 6:60 When some of the disciples heard it, they said, These words are difficult; who can hear them?

John 6:66 From that time many of his disciples departed, and walked no more with him.

It is easy to eat rice cakes. But now, when we talk about devotion to Christ, it is difficult. When we shout, “Let's take up the cross of suffering,” many people fall behind saying, “I am weak in faith.” This is not an appearance of humility.

It is an euphemistic expression of disobedience.

It looks like they are not armed with the word, the sword of the Holy Spirit.

They are powerless, like the disarmed Samson.

However, when the true truth is proclaimed, the number can be reduced like Gideon's 300 warriors.

However, believers must be inspected with the Word of God and move on to the next step. When there is persecution and the truth is proclaimed, the number of believers may decrease.

Maybe that's what Christianity is today. It's the original number, but it may be missing a bubble. If you serve the real God, the number cannot change.

People say I'll be able to trust me when I'm a little better.

They say that when the environment improves, faith will improve. But not at all.

Faith has nothing to do with circumstances. The members of the early church did not believe in Jesus, risking their lives like that because of the favorable environment. Even in the underground catacombs filled with the smell of rotting corpses, they held on to the word of truth, and by the power of life, their number increased day by day.

The history of Christianity.

Acts 2:47 And they praised God and received praise from all the people, and the Lord added day by day those who were being saved.

The number increases or decreases depending on whether you hold on to the word of truth or not.

Saints are not crowds. They are God's soldiers who believe in Jesus.

Therefore, we must be armed with the word of God, the sword of the Spirit.

Chapters 1 and 2 of Amos describe the plight of Israel.

What's the way to get hurt, torn apart, and to be uprooted? Chapter 3 of Amos focuses on the appearance of a prophet like a lion who grabbed hold of the Word.

Amos 3:4 How can the lion roar from the bush when it has nothing to grab, and how can the young lion make a noise in the den when it has caught nothing?

Amos 3:8 The lion roars, and who will not fear? Who will not prophesy, saith the Lord GOD?

The world is changed when God's people who hold on to the Word cry out.

When the devil hears the cry of God's warrior holding the word, he is extremely withdrawn.

When the Word enters a person, it catches fire.

When this fire is ignited, it becomes a strong obsession that cannot be silenced.

Jeremiah describes this experience as follows:

Jeremiah 20:9 When I say that I will no longer proclaim the LORD, nor speak in his name, my heart burns like a fire, my marrow burns, and I can't bear it.

When the word enters, it becomes a burning heart. This burning heart is the heart of God's soldiers armed with the sword of the Holy Spirit that makes the devil tremble.

If you have a fire in your chest, you can focus. The devil works to disperse the hearts of the saints. The test is division. But when it catches fire, you focus on one thing.

If you live by faith, you will surely succeed. Please believe it.

If we hold on to the burning Word, the saints will find new strength.

Take comfort in the Word You get to stand up on the spot.

Get out of the cluttered look. You will be transformed into a victorious figure.

Many people have scar-stained breasts.

They look triumphant on the outside, but on the inside, they are living life powerlessly with a broken, wretched and miserable figure.

I can't die, so I'm living almost like fate.

What is the solution for them? I need money, and I need to improve my relationships.

But those things are just a workaround. What is the real solution?

What do they need, even though they have become Christians, who live without power, engulfed in the values of the world?

it is the gospel The blood-stained gospel of the cross is the only solution.

You must listen to their inner cry of exhaustion.

They want to have hope and vision.

He wants to have a flag that can be waved.

I want to shudder in front of something worthwhile.

I'm shouting for something worth dying for

No matter how much of the world you give these people, it is of no use.

For them, the word of life is the only alternative.

When the word of life is given to those who have such a thirst, they willingly dedicate their lives and youth. will change.

The Word has the power to change.

In the valley of Ezekiel, the dry bones heard the word and were refreshed and became God's great army. Even though the people of this age have become dry bones due to various circumstances, I believe that they will become God's great army when the Word of God comes to them.

The only way to solve the devil's temptations and traps, and the difficult problems of this age, is through the Word. Only God's warfare, armed with the sword of the Word, can overcome this age. defeat the devil.

Are you in a slump of faith right now? Only hold on to the full armor of God and check it.

Have you fastened the belt of truth first? Look back to see if you're not living a life out of focus. Are you wearing the breastplate of righteousness? Aren't you ostentatious and arrogant day and night?

Please hold onto the cross of Jesus, the merits of Jesus.

Did you wear the prepared shoes of the gospel?

Do you really have a heart to love God?

So, why not move?

Check whether the person has not cooled down and whether there is a longing for God's grace in their heart

Are you holding on to the shield of faith? Are you groaning day and night by the arrows that the devil shoots? Did you put on the helmet of salvation?

It means you have confidence in God.

Have you received the sword of the Spirit?

Please check whether you are using the Word of God in the Holy Spirit.

It means that you have the burning word of God in your heart.

Are you living your life with the burning word of God?

What would you be afraid of?

Any satanic power will tremble before him.

I pray that all of God's soldiers, well-armed with God's whole body armor, will be used as precious vessels for an era.
