Title: Take the Land
Content Title: Take the Land
Bible: Numbers 13:25-33
In the text, twelve representatives of the tribes of Israel spy out the land of Canaan for forty days, then return and report to Moses and the people. The 12 people were the leaders of each tribe, but only those who had dreams and visions could enter Canaan and survive. On the other hand, 10 people who did not have a vision died without even being able to enter Canaan. Only those who have a vision can achieve their dreams and live.
First: to see with the eyes of faith.
“They reported to Moses and said, “We are going to the land where you sent us, and it flows with milk and honey, and this is the fruit of the land” (verse 27). is. The ten men reported desperately, "It is a land that devours its inhabitants, a land we cannot go, because it has strong walls, and the people are tall and great men." Joshua and Caleb said the same thing. When he saw the land, he came and said, “It is a very beautiful, very beautiful land, a land flowing with milk and honey.” I came to see the same thing, but what the ten saw was different from what the two saw. Eyes look different depending on what thoughts you have in your mind.
Second: You must have the courage to overcome your fears.
“And Caleb relieved the people before Moses, saying, Let us go up immediately and take possession of the land, for we are well able to overcome it” (verse 30).
People with dreams and visions need courage to overcome fear and passion to overcome failure. The Bible explains why people of faith should not be afraid. “As the LORD your God has spoken to you, he will make all the people of the land you tread with fear and dread, and no one will be able to withstand you” (Deuteronomy 11:25). The people who live with it do not back down even when the waves of adversity come. Rather, in the midst of hardship and adversity, we become stronger, overcome obstacles, and move forward.
Third: We must live with those who share our vision.
“Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh tore his clothes among those who scavengers of the land” (14:6).
“I have sworn that you will dwell in no one except Caleb the son of Jebunneh and Joshua the son of Nun” (14:30). We are living beings who cannot live alone. So, by looking at the person you are close to, you can recognize that person. Therefore, people of God, people who overcome, and people who have a vision should get along with people who can be good examples.
