Title: Talent
So, I have a question for you. Why did the servant who received one talent bury the money he received? First of all, you may not have liked the owner's treatment. Some gave 5 talents, some gave 2 talents, but only 1 talent was given to him. I felt it was human discrimination. Did the owner discriminate against people? I don't think so. Rather, it acknowledges individual differences in ability. The text says ‘according to talent’ (15). People have different abilities. Nevertheless, if you ignore individual differences and uniformly entrust them with 5 talents, that is irrational, inefficient, and reverse discrimination. If you entrust the 5 talents to someone who doesn't have the ability and ask them to take responsibility, that is reverse discrimination. Therefore, what is allocated according to ability is consideration for the servants. Look at the passage that the owner settled. Even though there is a difference in arithmetic between those who have 5 talents and 2 talents, they are praised equally. The Lord praised you equally when you received 5 or 2 talents according to your abilities and did your best.
We are all gifted with talents according to our abilities. There is a difference depending on the ability, but no one has received it. You must settle with the Lord. The year-end settlement is near. Can you proudly participate in the settlement of accounts with the Lord this year as well? If you think that this year's year-end settlement and the final settlement of your life will be different, you are mistaken. The extension of year-end settlement is final settlement. When the end-of-year settlement results are good, the final settlement of our lives is also good. Be commended for being a good and faithful servant. To do this, you must do your best with the talents you have received. Let us be faithful servants, servants that are praised by the Lord.
