Title: Teach
Teach like this (Deuteronomy 6:6-9)
In the past few decades, the Korean church has experienced a great revival. So I had expectations that I would be able to lead the world church in the 21st century. However, since 1990, growth has been negative. So some theologians say that the candlestick of the Holy Spirit moved to China. The growth of the Korean economy and the revival of this land are related to the growth of the church. The future of the Korean church in the 21st century depends on our choices.
There are times when the United States produces many children after World War II. This period is called the Baby Boomers era (1946-1965) in America. It was difficult to find a job because of the large population, but these were people who knew how to work together. At this time, the American church experienced a tremendous revival. The children of the Baby Boomers generation did not produce many children. And the generation that does not sacrifice for their children is called Baby Busters. Couple-oriented, does not sacrifice for the sake of the family, and does not know how to take responsibility. And there is no gender distinction. So homosexuality emerged. The same goes for Korea. The generation born between 1950 and 1970 can be said to be Korea's Baby Boomers (1950-?). And we can say that the generation from 1970 to the present is the BaBy Busters generation. If we do not understand their mindset and values, the church will collapse. If so, how should they be raised?
(1) We must grow in the church.
Parents are outraged when they miss school. But what about our attitude when we are absent from church? Our church's 100th anniversary project aims to nurture the next generation by building a beautiful educational building. A large budget must be invested in the educational environment of the church. So, we must become a better church tomorrow than today.
(2) It must be nurtured by the word of God.
Regardless of the age, only the Word of God is the eternal and perfect truth.
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, because the sandstone of God is perfected, perfected for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
Teach your children diligently, and you shall wear them on your wrists, as a sign, and as a mark upon your forehead, and write them on the doorposts of your house and on your outer door (Deuteronomy 6:6-9).
We want the Word to be attached to all of our homes.
Do not let this book of the law depart from your mouth, and meditate on it day and night, and observe all that is written in it, so that you may make your way prosperous (Joshua 1:8).
Bless your children with the Word and let them grow.
(3) It must be nurtured as an example of faith.
When Jesus taught his disciples (John 13), he taught as an example of serving in life. Our children of faith should be taught by example of faith. A certain butler picked up a lost dog. But the dog was too clever. A few days later, an advertisement looking for a dog had a phrase that said it had white fur on its tail. So I came home and pulled out the white hairs from the tail with tweezers. However, they made the mistake of sowing the seeds of evil in their children's hearts. You should not hurt your child's heart with parental authority. We want you to be parents who know how to serve their children's feet. Even to Judas Iscariot, who would betray him, Jesus set an example of love to the end.
(4) Please pray together for your children.
Hannah offered a piercing prayer for Samuel. I hope you will become priests and bless your children with tears. A child raised through prayers of tears never perishes. Children raised by tears do not leave the home. do not depart from God. Please come to your children's room, put your hands on their heads and bless them.
I pray that you will become all the families of the preface that glorify God by raising the precious children that God has entrusted to our families and churches.
