Title: Testimony of Faith in Suffering

Contents

Argument: God does all things for the good of those who are called for His purpose (Romans 8:28).

A. Preface

1. ‘I love you Jiseon-ah’: Joy and gratitude start with small things

1) 'I love you Ji-seon' (synopsis): Lee Ji-sun (33 years old), the main character of this article, was born in 1978 and was driving with her brother before graduating from college. Wearing it, he became so ugly that he couldn't even recognize his face. 55% of the exhibition's skin was burned. He suffered third degree severe burns. I was hospitalized for 7 months and underwent 11 surgeries. The pain of amputating all the fingertips and burning all the way to the earlobe. The face of the past has become an ugly face that cannot be seen at all.

However, Jiseon-i posted on the Internet how she sometimes felt the difficulties she was facing. It is said that thousands of people visit Jiseon's website every day to read and visit.

‘Living was a thousand times more difficult than dying. Do not sympathize with that precious life. Please don't get me wrong. We are people who know what is truly precious and eternal in the world. How precious life is, how warm love is, how frightening despair is, how powerful hope is, how near happiness is, what really useless things in the world, how little joy and gratitude To begin with, we are the ones who know it. No matter how difficult times were, I was able to endure all difficulties while listening to God's words, 'This is not the end, I have hope.' Obviously, there must be a providence of God who saved me. Even if I could go back to the past, I am happy because now is better. Oh God, what are you going to do? What are you going to do with me? I cried and asked and prayed countless times. But I believe you will achieve a wonderful happy ending.’

Why did God do this to himself? It would have been better if he had died then.. He blames himself and blames God. However, I am grateful to God for saving me even this way, and in the future, even if it looks ugly, this book is to express my hope that I will always be grateful and never lose hope.

After reading this book, many people are somehow ashamed of living with only negative thoughts all the time. 'I have a healthy body, wear everything, and I have everything I need to eat. Why do I always do this, why can't I?' This is a book that made me feel satisfied with my current life and always want to be thankful by seeing Ji-seon-nim who never loses hope.

2) I dream of becoming a missionary

3) Do you still feel unhappy while listening to Jiseon’s confession (‘There is no one happier than me’)?

B. Body

1. Our believers should know and know that “God does all things for the good of those who are called for His purpose” (Romans 8:28).

2. People of the world do not know.

1) People in this world are unhappy, sinful, and suffer because they do not know.

(1) R.L.Gould says how modern people can live a new life

Let go of the idea that stability will last

Don't think 'death is far away'

Get rid of the idea of ‘I can’t live without a guardian’

Get rid of the idea that you are always clean.

2) People live without knowing what is good for me.

3) I don't know how deeply I am 'enslaved to lust'.

3. The saints in front of the cross live a life of knowing.

1) Know that the origin of everything is in God

2) Knowing the final victory (In the end, God accomplishes the good)

4. God works together for good

1) In the end, it ends with and wins.

2) All current events take place in the

(1) Even harsh hardships such as the imprisonment of the apostle Paul, and contradictory reality become the progress of the gospel

(2) ‘He hath made even the wicked fit’ (Proverbs 16:4)

(3) ‘The devil glorifies God indirectly, and angels glorify it directly’ (Augutinus’ words)

C. Conclusion

1. Learn from the life of Jose Carreras (World's 3rd greatest tenor)

1) He collapsed from leukemia in 1987 at the age of 41 while practicing the opera “La Moem”: hair, nails, and toenails were all gone

2) Thinking of King Hezekiah while fighting a disease

3) Confess that “sometimes even sickness is a blessing”

4) Testimony of how he changed after overcoming disease through faith (KRW 250,000 tickets for the Korean Olympic Stadium)

(1) Becoming a ‘person who thinks of others more than myself’

(2) Becoming a ‘person who thinks more about the glory of God than myself’

2. If we face hardships and adversity with faith and take on a face-to-face challenge, God will work together to achieve good things → The meaning and future of life are revealed to those who love God.
