Title: Thanksgiving and Miracles/1 Thessalonians 5:18
Content Thanksgiving and Miracles/1 Thessalonians 5:18
Introduction
In the Bible, things that cannot be accomplished by human strength or great miracles that cannot be understood by human thoughts are introduced, which are not related to thanksgiving.
This morning, I would like to share my grace by telling you about an incident where a miracle appeared in gratitude.
1. Job's Thanksgiving and Miracle
According to Job 1, Job was an honest and upright man who feared God and turned away from evil.
But with God's permission, the devil killed seven sons and three daughters, and all their wealth was taken from the robbers. Fire came down from heaven and burned them, and a typhoon blew and took away the house, but they did not complain or complain about God.
Rather, in Job 1:20-22, he said, "I tore my cloak and shaved my head, and fell to the ground and worshiped, saying, Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return there. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away. Blessed be your name."
In the midst of a great test, instead of complaining or complaining, Job gave thanks to God and praised God.
According to Job 42:10-15, God restored Job's predicament and gave Job twice as much as what he had before, making him the world's richest man, and he gave him 7 sons and 3 daughters again.
As we go through life, we may face trials like Job did. In that case, instead of blaming God and making mistakes, we pray to God to overcome the trials and receive greater blessings.
2. Daniel's Thanksgiving and Miracle
In Dan 6, Daniel was taken captive to Babylon, but with God's blessing, he became the chief minister during the reign of King Darius.
Daniel was agile, honest, and flawless, so he gained the king's trust and became the chief prime minister. The other prime ministers and princes were jealous of Daniel and tried to find fault with him, but they couldn't. Then, knowing that Daniel was a person who prayed to God, they suggested to the king, "If anyone asks anything from any god or person other than the king for 30 days from now on, they should set up a rule to throw them into the lions' den and get permission.
A ban was imposed on 120 provinces nationwide by stamping a fisherman on the record.
Even though Daniel knew this, he returned to his house and, at the window that opened toward Jerusalem, knelt three times a day and prayed thanks to God (Daniel 6:10), just as he had done before.
Daniel was thrown into the lions' den for praying, but God sent angels to the lions' den and sealed the lions' mouths, so he was able to escape safely (Daniel 6:22).
The king took those who had conspired against Daniel and threw them together with his wife and children into the lions' den so that they could become food for lions (Daniel 6:24).
Like Daniel, if we live our lives, we may be envious and jealous, and we may fall into certain conspiracies. In such a case, if we pray a prayer of thanksgiving instead of resentment, God will safely deliver us from the conspiracy.
3. Jesus' Thanksgiving and the Miracle of Five Byeong-Eye
In Matthew 14:15-21, Jesus preached the word to a large crowd in the wilderness of Bethsaida.
It was an empty field, and it was late at night, so I had to provide food to the crowd, but all I had was 5 barley loaves and 2 fish for snacks brought by a child.
It was impossible to feed the large crowd that had gathered there with this.
But when Jesus took it, gave thanks and gave thanks, broke it and distributed it, and 5,000 seniors ate, but the crumbs were collected, resulting in 12 baskets.
According to Matthew 15:32-44, they took 7 barley loaves and 2 fish, gave thanks and gave them, and 4,000 men ate until they were full.
As we go through life, we too may find ourselves in difficulties that we cannot do anything about because we are too short and exhausted.
In such a case, if you give thanks to God instead of grumbling or complaining, God will work with abundant miracles and overflowing miracles.
4. Jesus’ thanksgiving and the miracle of opening the eyes of the two disciples
In Luke 24:13-35, Jesus died on the cross and was resurrected, but the two disciples did not know this. They were going down from Jerusalem to Emmaus. They met the resurrected Jesus and walked with him, but they were blindfolded and did not know that it was Jesus. I did.
At the end of the day, when the two disciples persuaded Jesus to eat together, Jesus took bread, gave thanks, broke it, and gave it to the disciples. Their eyes were opened and they recognized Jesus.
Even though we say we are living the life of faith, there are times when we are spiritually pressed and closed with frustration.
In such a case, if you give thanks to God, you can receive the blessing of opening your closed eyes, ears, mouth, heart, and eyes.
5. Jesus' Prayer of Thanksgiving and the Miracle of Lazarus' Resurrection
In John 11:11-44, Lazarus, who was living in Bethany, died of a fatal disease and was buried in the tomb four days later, and his body was already decomposing.
After Jesus went to the tomb and had the stone removed from the tomb, he lifted his eyes and looked up. After hearing the prayer of thanksgiving, “Father, I thank you for listening to me,” he heard the prayer of thanksgiving, and when he called out to Lazarus with a loud voice, the dead Lazarus lifted his hands and feet from the tomb. I came out with a vero dong
Even now, if we pray to God in faith, we can experience the work of reviving the dead. (Spiritual part, economy, business, etc.)
6. The miracle of opening the prison door when singing thanksgiving
In Acts 16:16-34, the Apostle Paul went to Philippi, the first city in Macedonia, to preach the gospel, and he cast out demons from the maidservant who used to be a demon, but when the master had no income, he accused Paul and was beaten many times and imprisoned.
However, the Apostle Paul prayed and sang to God with a grateful heart instead of grumbling or complaining. At that time, the prison doors were wide open.
As a result, Paul evangelized to the prison warden's family in the Philippi prison and ordered him to return to prison, and he was released from prison and became a free body.
We too can be imprisoned in different kinds of prisons in our lives (diseases, worries, worries, tribulations, trials).
However, if you pray and sing praises with thanksgiving to God, you can receive the blessing of opening the prison door.
Dear saints, as we have seen above, no matter what difficulties, pains, or dangers come, if you give thanks to God instead of resentment, miracles will appear, problems will be resolved and you will receive blessings.
In today's text, it is said that it is God's will to give thanks in everything.
In the rest of your life, no matter what difficulties, tribulations, or dangers you face, give thanks and praise to God to receive great blessings and victory.
