Title: Thanksgiving of the Redeemed
Content Title: Gratitude of those who have been redeemed
Bible: Psalm 107:1-9
We see the world we live in as if we have lost this blessed thanks. Among misfortunes, unhappiness is the loss of gratitude. It's like I'm complaining about why my earthenware looks like this. What is more important is the appreciation for the existence that the earthenware was made with the love and purpose of the owner.
The life of captive human beings witnessed in today's text can still be compared to the life of captivity of material and power.
That suffering is the dry and dry heart of a man who has lost his way and wanders on a road like the wilderness (verse 4).
One of the greatest poets of the 20th century, T.S. Elliot, in his book "The Wasteland", said that modern man is "empty man" and "full man" at the same time. This is because there is no faith, love, hope, and gratitude that should exist, but only sins, hatred, jealousy, greed, sexual immorality, and luxury that should not exist. Gratitude is the leak-tight vessel that enriches your life. Gratitude is the weapon that can resist Satan's temptations.
Songwol Church members! Are you a person who seeks what our church needs? Or are you a person who strives to be the person you need in your body, the church? God does not dictate our integrity, but uses an attitude to come to the Lord even if we lack it. You cannot learn to swim without falling into the water, and you cannot hit a home run without a strikeout. From childhood, when a child rises and falls countless times until he becomes a necessary person in society, he becomes an adult as he goes through stumbling and falling in society. It is necessary for a mother to boil and hold her baby when she has fallen down dozens of times or hundreds of times before it can walk or run completely. Even when he falls, he keeps trying to go to his mother. Even if you fall, you must fall toward the Lord. If you fall toward the cross of the Lord, you will become a star even if your head explodes. But if you fall backwards, your head will break!! On the contrary, shouldn't we be thankful to the Lord for writing an ugly self like me? What is the ultimate gratitude that is being conveyed to us in today's Word?
Above all else, this is not a confession of gratitude from my heart.
Lord! Thank you in all these circumstances right now. Amen.
