Dear saints! The world is struggling with the financial crisis that occurred in the United States. There are many people who are worried that the foreign exchange crisis that Korea experienced 10 years ago will come again. Every day stocks are falling, the dollar is skyrocketing, and everyone is anxious. Today's situation makes us tired. This text is a word from God to the people of Israel who are weary and weary. “Look in the Lord, and you will be refreshed,” he says. This morning, I would like to share grace with you under the title of “If you do so, you will find new strength”.
I. wait on the LORD
Verse 31, “But those who wait in the Lord will find new strength.” What does it mean to “seek in the Lord”? It means believing in Jehovah God and looking forward with hope. So, what kind of God is Jehovah God?
Second, God answers prayer. Verse 28, “Have you not known or have you not heard? The eternal God, the Lord,” This is why you did not know that our God is the eternal God and that He is the Lord. Jehovah is a faithful God who always fulfills what he has promised. Specifically, Jehovah our God has promised to answer the prayers of God's children. Jeremiah 33:3 “Call to me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things that you do not know” This promise of answering prayers from Jehovah God will surely come true. Dear all! I hope you believe in God who answers our prayers. I bless you that you will be a saint who prays and receives answers.
Third, God is the Creator. Verse 28 “He who created the ends of the earth” The prophet Isaiah told us to lift up our eyes. He said to the weary and weary people of Israel, “Now lift up your head and look at the sky, and look at those twinkling stars in the sky, think about who created those countless stars.” That same God created me. You know me, you love me and you have called me. you never forsake me That God is in charge of my life today. Dear all! I hope you believe in the Almighty God who is the Creator. I hope that God is calling me today, intervening in my life, and guiding me in all my ways today. I pray that you will trust that God, put your hope in that God, and look only at Him. I pray that you hope for that God.
II. you will get new strength
Verse 30 says, “Even a boy is weary and weary, and even a young man stumbles and falls.” Boys aren't always boys. You are getting old and weak without realizing it. It was said that even the elders fell and fell. To fall means to trip over an obstacle. How many obstacles are there in this world? To fall means to lose strength and fall. The Bible warns. “Whoever claims to stand on his own beware lest he fall” Verse 31, “But those who wait in the Lord will find new strength.” What kind of strength is this new strength?
First, it is God-given strength. Only those who wait on the Lord will find new strength. You can't get it anywhere else. It is the power that God gives. Psalm 18:1 “O LORD, who has been my strength” God the strength! That power has overcome the world, overcome all enemies, overcome sin, overcome all diseases, and even overcome death. God gives me that strength.
Second, the strength given after training. “It will be like the wings of an eagle.” The eagle is a high-flying bird. It is a bird with powerful power in its wings. The wings of this eagle are to become powerful against the podium. God refines His children. The podium is difficult and arduous. However, in order to gain new strength, the strength to overcome, we must undergo refinement. Dear all! Are you currently undergoing refinement? I hope you look forward to the new strength, new grace, and new blessings that God gives you.
Third, the power that is given regardless of the situation. “I will run, but I will not get weary, I will walk and not get tired.” As we live in the world, we encounter two situations. One is to run, and the other is to walk slowly. It doesn't matter whoever waits for the Lord. God will give you the wisdom, strength, and power appropriate to the situation.
Fourth, the power to be renewed every day. He said he had new strength. 2 Corinthians 5:17 “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” Those who wait for God, who are in Jesus Christ, become new creatures. He gives you new strength.
Dear all! I hope that you will wait on Jehovah God. The God of forgiveness, the God who answers prayers, the Almighty God who created and guides us. Trust in that God and put your hope in that God. The power to not get tired and not get tired in any situation! I bless you with this new energy.
