Title: The 9 Fruits of the Holy Spirit

The 9 Fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23)

1. love

2. Joy

Christianity is a religion of joy. But sometimes God allows sorrow. Why? Because sadness has work to do. One of the important things that sorrow does is to make the joy of the saints sincere. It is only when people experience sorrow that they realize how good the joy in Jesus is. A life without joy is a dead life, and hymns and prayers without joy are meaningless. No matter how hard you work, if you do it with love and joy, your suffering will become a sacrifice, and at the same time, God will be more pleased with the person you are pleased with.

3. Peace

If you want to do big things, don't make a single enemy. When we have a good relationship with God, we also have a good relationship with people. Miracles happen in good relationships. So, do your best for a good relationship. If God exalts you with grace, never become a dictator. True authority does not come from dictatorship, but from self-discipline. On the other hand, if God temporarily humbles you, never be critical. Such love and encouragement can lead to a successful life when you strive to maintain peace in your relationships.

4. Long-suffering

When dealing with people, you have to be patient and trust them so that they can overcome difficulties and stand up. But more importantly, trust and wait on God until the end. Faith is to keep your mouth shut before God and wait patiently (Psalm 37:7). And in no case do not give up the good. If you look at the people who lived happily in the Bible, there were moments of waiting without exception. The reason many people fail today is because they give up too quickly. There is no failure in the saints. But giving up in the middle is a failure.

5. Mercy

Compassion refers to an open mind that understands and accepts the other person's point of view. The opposite of mercy is judgment. God is not pleased with judgment. If you judge easily, you will not receive answers to prayers easily. A person who does not listen to others with a merciless heart will say, “God! Please hear my prayer quickly!” How contradictory is that? Then God will speak. “Anyone! Learn to listen before you want me to hear your prayers quickly!”

6. Yangseon

Good goodness is deeply related to the missionary mindset as doing good deeds quietly and not expecting anything in return. In other words, yangseon means “personal and material relief with a missionary heart.” How can I get good relief? In particular, you must give up your greed for money. When money comes to you, be grateful and use it well, but don't worry too much if it leaves you one day. Someday, money will surely leave my side. Before you leave in vain, have a good heart to get married to a good place such as missionary work and almsgiving.

7. Loyalty

Loyalty refers to a heart dedicated to one object. There are difficult times in life. Then is the time to be more faithful. In the early church, a huge Jerusalem church was created in an instant due to the work of the Holy Spirit, but at the same time suffered great persecution. At that time, all the believers were scattered, but the apostles kept the church until the end. Even in the midst of such tribulation, be faithful to the place where God's will and mission exist until the end. Those who keep their place until the end during such difficult times are more filled with the Holy Spirit than anyone else.

8. Gentle

Many people have a misunderstanding of ‘onew’. People usually think of a person who lacks strength and cannot get angry as a meek person. However, biblical meekness refers to the disposition of being able to fight terribly for God, but never fighting for oneself. So the meek are like a great river. Streams flow with a sound, but large rivers flow quietly and quietly, filtering muddy water well and making it clean. Such a meek person accepts and digests all complaints, groans, and grudges into good things.

9. Temperance

Temperance means taking responsibility for self-control. Therefore, even if someone criticizes you because you misunderstood it, be restrained and do not dwell too much on the criticism. People have the right to be misunderstood. There is no obligation to explain them one by one. What is important is the firm belief that “God knows the way I am going now.” With that attitude, push forward with good works. You can never become the protagonist of a miracle if you depend on other people's stories. Refrain from speaking. If you talk too much, you won't be able to hear it well.
