Summary of the Word -------------- Basics of Victory Bible
Victory Fundamentals Bible
2 Timothy 3:14 But abide in the things you have learned and have been convinced of; you know from whom you have learned, 15 and from childhood you have known the Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

Division of chapters and verses Ammons of Alexandria, Egypt, around A.D. 220, divided only the ‘chapters’ of the 4 Gospels. Later, Cardinal Hugo of Centcaro divided the entire Latin Bible into 1,189 chapters, 929 chapters in the Old Testament and 260 chapters in the New Testament.
The first adoption of chapter and verse divisions throughout the Bible was in the Latin Vulgate, published in 1555 by Stephanus. And the first area Bible to be printed with perfect chapters and verses was the Geneva Bible (1560).
I. A chaotic world (verse 14)
We live in an age of explosion of knowledge, but the reality is that we are just like those who feel thirsty while being washed away by a flood. In times like these, the Bible adds to its value as the basis for a victorious life.
1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not from the Father, but from the world.
Victory in a chaotic world lies in setting things right. The unshakable foundation is the Bible.
II. The Book of Wisdom (verse 15)
1) We gain wisdom for salvation through the Bible (verse 15).
The Old Testament is a book that foretells the creation of the world, the fall of man, the necessity of the Messiah, and the coming Savior and Messiah Christ.
While the Gospels of the New Testament describe the birth, work, cross, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus, who came as the Messiah Christ, the Savior, the Book of Acts is the Holy Spirit who came to this world after Jesus’ ascension and followed the prophecies and requests of Jesus to create and guide the church. The epistles teach how the church, the body of Jesus, should believe and act, and the book of Revelation is a book that prophesies of Jesus coming back to take us.
We come to salvation through this book.
2) Acquire the wisdom to handle the explosively increasing knowledge.
Ephesians 5:15 Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise.
Even if you have a lot of knowledge and information, if you do not have the wisdom to organize, apply, and apply it in your life, it is often more harmful to know.
Reading the Bible and catching the pulse of the Bible is like building the skeleton of a building and making rooms and passages.
III. Author of the Bible (verse 16)
Are there any books written by God in this world? Yes, the Bible is that book. In each chapter and verse, the breath of God dwells, and it functions as follows.
1) Lesson TEACHING
- It teaches you what to do and when to do it.
2) REBUKING
- Makes you realize what went wrong and why.
3) CORRECTING
- Tells you how to correct the wrong part
4) TRAINING IN RIGHTEOUSNESS
- It not only understands in your head, but also makes the movement of your hands and feet a habit in your life.
Victory in life and receiving a great reward in the eternal kingdom of heaven is not something that happens because you are smart, it is not that you work hard unconditionally, and even more so, it is not something that happens by chance. It is possible if you become a person of the Bible. The Bible is a guide for life.
IV. Let's win in life based on the Bible (verse 17)
It must be rooted in the Word of God.
1) listen
2) read
3) study
4) recite
5) Meditation = Apply.
