Title: The biggest thing in the world
The greatest thing in the world (Luke 8:26-39)
In Luke 8, several miraculous events appear.
First, it is the incident that calmed the sea. (Luke 8:22-25) Storms can come to those who live with Jesus, but no storm can overturn me. Why? Because Jesus is there. Is anyone afraid of a raging storm? Don't worry. Jesus is with you.
Fourth, the synagogue leader Jairus' dead daughter Ai was raised to life. (Luke 8:49-56) The synagogue leader Jairus came to Jesus and begged Jesus to spare his dying daughter. died But Jesus came to Jairus' house and said, "Do not be afraid, just believe." People were weeping that they were dead, but Jesus said he was sleeping and said, “Child, wake up!” you saved me But in verse 56, he said, “Do not tell anyone about this. Why? Because raising a dead child was not the original purpose of Jesus.
Luke 8 records many miracles, but which one is the greatest? Rather than calming the sea, raising the sick, or raising the dead, Jesus said that the event of casting out demons was a “great thing” and told them to be widely publicized (verse 39). It is the greatest thing to liberate poor people from ghosts. Evangelism is the greatest work, the greatest miracle. The most meaningful decision at this general meeting was the decision to create a task force at the general assembly level to oppose the government-funded temple stay, and to hold a signature campaign among members of the nation. It is the most precious thing to rescue poor souls who worship idols and who are bound by Satan and go to hell and lead them to heaven. I bless you in the name of Jesus that you will become all the saints in the preface who accomplish the greatest work in the world by actively participating in this work.
