************************************************** **************************

If you look at why God often speaks of blessings in the Bible, it is because He wants us to enjoy His blessings. However, unless we change the way we think about the blessings we have, it is difficult to enjoy true blessings. I hope this will be a precious time for you to understand God's blessings in general through today's Word.

First, we believe that the greatest blessing we have received is the blessing of salvation.

We believe that our saved life is a blessed life. In today's text verses 3-4, it says, 'Blessed are the poor in spirit'. To say that you are poor in spirit is a confession that makes you discover that you are worthy of judgment with no claim to God. What we should not miss as believers is the emotion and gratitude for salvation. I hope that you will be overflowing with the thrill of salvation.

Secondly, the blessing we must obtain is the blessing of changing our hearts.

In verses 5-8 of the text, there are meek people, those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, those who are merciful, and those who are pure in heart. To be gentle in heart, longing for righteousness in heart, to be merciful in heart, and to be pure [the blessing of believing in Jesus Christ and changing your heart] is talking about this. People often think of blessings as having something added. Another thing is to change your mind. What is the blessing of changing your heart? When my heart meets God, the change that comes to me through that encounter is the blessing of changing my heart. We believe that when we meet God deeply, our hearts will change. It is important to restore the heart of God.

The third blessing is that our actions change.

Verse 9 says, 'Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.' This verse focuses on action and is called a peacemaker. If we really want to reveal the glory of God, what do we need? The mind is also needed, but the good deeds that arise from this heart are also necessary. Looking at verse 16 of today's text, what is light when it plays the role of light and salt? It is said that your good deeds are light. If Jesus only had a heart to save us and had not actually come down to this earth, our salvation would not have been possible. The Lord came and what He acted on became the gospel of salvation.

Finally, if you look at verses 10-12 of the text, it is said that it is a blessing to be subjected to suffering and persecution.

Although the focus should be on the cross, on the path of suffering and devotion, today's generation is focused on comfort. Verse 12 says that your reward in heaven is great. Another reason that it is blessed to suffer persecution is that there is value in your heart to protect even if you are persecuted. What values do we Christians have? This is something worth changing even if it takes one's life. Why can't the world handle the church? I have to give something more precious than the value that is in me, but the world can't give it, so I can't afford the church.

Dear Sandoll Saints~

I earnestly pray in the name of the Lord that you will become Sandoll saints who possess a blessing that cannot be replaced with anything in the world.
