Sermons for Preaching

Title: The Blessed One / Luke 11:27-32

Contents Blessed people / Luke 11:27-32

Key Verse: “Jesus said to them, “Blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it” (Luke 11:28).

Word: Who is the blessed person whom the Lord spoke of? First, blessed are those who hear the word. Please remember that listening to the Word comes first. Without hearing the Word, we cannot keep the Word and we cannot live by the Word.

Then why should we listen to the Word and keep the Word? According to Deuteronomy 27:9-10, we must listen to the word because we have become the people of God's kingdom, that is, God's children. Hearing the word, he said, “Hear in silence.” We can hear the Word of God by reading the Bible, attending worship services and listening to sermons. Dear brothers and sisters, in order for the Word to work in us, we must listen to the sermon as God's words, not human words. When we accept the Word of the Bible as the Word of God, the power of the Word is revealed and changes occur in our lives.

Second, blessed are those who keep the Word. We must listen to keep the Word. Of course, there are benefits to be gained by hearing the Word before that. Faith grows by hearing the Word (Romans 10:17), and understanding comes by hearing the Word. You must understand the Word to keep it. The real reason we fail to keep the Word is because we do not have realization. God has promised prosperity in all things to those who keep His Word and do it. Living according to God's Word is not easy. The Word must be the foundation of our faith.

Third, those who preach the word are blessed. 2 Timothy 4:2 says, “Preach the word, in season and out of season, always be diligent.” This is the Lord's command. If we do not preach, we cannot hear or believe (Romans 10:14).

Evangelism is the beginning of evangelism. What should I tell you? It is 'word'. What is the Word? Jesus Christ. It refers to eternal salvation obtained through faith in Jesus Christ, who came to this earth to atone for human sins, died on the cross, and rose from the dead. No matter how many people gather in the church, the budget is abundant, and everything is well-equipped, if we do not evangelize, the Lord is not pleased.

Dear brothers and sisters, I pray in the name of the Lord that you will truly enjoy the blessings of God by hearing, keeping, and spreading the word of God.
