blessing of meeting
(Luke 19:1-10)
Everyone! I am so happy to meet you today. I sincerely hope that God will bless our meeting and that it will be a blessed meeting. (…) Everyone, you have met many people throughout your life. Do you remember all their names? You won't remember. Why? If you classify all encounters into <grasping> and <meeting>, you will find that there is a class (class) in encounters. In English, there is the word meet, and there is the word encounter. Meet means to just meet, and enconter means to meet heart and mind, meeting the core.(…) encounter When heart and heart meet, there is emotion. It's a strong feeling, a powerful emotion.(…) This encounter is not limited by time. We can meet beyond time, and we can meet beyond space.(…) Today I would like to talk about the meeting of Jesus with a man named Zacchaeus. Zacchaeus was a man who met the Lord and was greatly changed.
① Zacchaeus collected taxes from the Israelites and gave them to the Romans. So I had no friends and no neighbors. He had money, fame, and authority, but he had no neighbors with whom he could talk (…). He was not happy, and his life became thirsty. I was so lonely every day that it didn't seem like I was living and I was almost dying. So I decided to meet Jesus. He thought that the only way he lived was Jesus.(…)
②Zacchaeus and Jesus met. (…) He could not bear himself, so he fell on his face and confessed to the Lord. I will give half of my wealth to my poor brethren. And I will repay you four times as much for stealing. The moment Zacchaeus met Jesus, he realized how to live. The reason why meeting Jesus is important is because the Lord is my master and he is absolute to me.(…)
③ Zacchaeus met his mission. Life is a deep meeting between you and me. The most important meeting is the meeting of life and mission. When my life meets my mission, my life is thrilled and blossoms.(…) The Bible does not say that humans are an accidental birth that evolved from a naked monkey. He said that he was made in God's image and that he lived in God's providence to live according to God's will. It is a life that you only live once with one life, but you came to this earth to do God’s mission, that is, God’s errand. Therefore, we should know how precious it is to meet the mission of human life.(…) When is the best day of human life? It is about discovering the great goal and mission to dedicate one's life to. (…) When we meet the Lord, our Lord makes us realize our mission and leads us to a life of emotion. Will you be satisfied with the first spoonful? When you meet the Lord, he gives you a mission. This is the blessing of meeting. Amen.
