Title: The Blessings of Peter

Content Fragment-->

Peter's Blessing (Luke 5:1-11)

Dear all! Peter caught a fish on the Sea of Galilee. Didn't catch a single fish that night. But the Lord said to Peter, “Go out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” Peter obeyed the Lord's word. There was so much fish that the nets could not be lifted. The words of miracles and blessings are recorded in the text, saying that the ship was full enough to submerge twice. This morning, I want to share the Word while thinking about “the blessings that Peter received.”

I. Peter toiled all night

Dear all! Even now, the Lord calls those who are diligent and loyal. The faint-hearted and the lukewarm do not use it. I pray that you will become saints who do not give up under any circumstances and who work hard to the end, so that you will be blessed like Moses and Peter.

II. Peter Offered His Ship to the Lord

Many people gathered on the shores of Galilee to the Lord. The Lord seated the crowd on the beach, and he got into a boat and preached to the crowd on the beach. At this time, the Lord used Peter's boat. He came to Peter to bless him and used his boat. It is a blessing that Peter's boat was used by the Lord. There were two boats on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. The Lord got into one of them. The Lord got into Peter's boat. This is a blessing. I hope you all believe that it is a blessing to be used by the Lord with my possessions. Today, the Lord wants to use what is mine to bless me. 1 Kings 17 There was a famine in the land of Israel for three years and six months. God sent the prophet Elijah to a widow of Zarephath. He allowed the servants of God to feed with the last remaining flour and oil. He used the widow's oil and flour. During that famine, the widow's house was blessed that the barrel did not run out of flour and the bottle did not run out of oil.

Dear all! The Lord blesses individuals, families, and businesses used for the sake of the gospel. never empty. You fill it to the point where it overflows. Just because it's used for the gospel doesn't mean it's too grandiose. You have to think and practice small things first. serving the territory. This is giving your body and giving your time. My body and my time are used for the church, which is the body of the Lord. Serving an evangelism organization, serving as a choir, interceding, serving in the kitchen, and serving in various places in the church are all giving your body and your time. I want you to keep in mind that only the portion of my money spent on the Lord's behalf, my time and my possessions being used for the Lord's sake is of real value. Dear all! This year, we pray that our bodies, time, and materials will all be used for the Lord. So, I pray that the Lord will fill you with blessings.

III. Peter obeyed the word of the Lord

“Go out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch” Peter's obedience. This wasn't easy. In terms of time, that is not the time to catch fish. Fish are caught at night and no fish are caught during the day. Fishermen catch fish at night. Common sense and empirically there is no meat in the deep. It is very cumbersome to straighten out the nets that have been arranged and put them down again. Peter is a fisherman. A man growing old on the Sea of Galilee. He is an expert at catching fish. He is a knowledgeable and experienced person. Jesus is a carpenter in a mountain village who has never caught a fish. The words of Jesus now, “Go out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch,” are completely inconsistent with experience, reason, or common sense when Peter thinks of them. But Peter obeyed.

Dear all! Where did this obedience of Peter come from? It comes from the Word. The Lord rented Peter's boat and preached. Peter heard the word from the nearest place of the Lord. As Peter listened to the Word, he had faith. It is important to listen. The more you listen, the more your faith grows. Obey as much as you listen. It is a blessing to hear it up close. Why are there no miracles for us today? Because there is no obedience. This is because there are only reasonable church members and there are no people of obedience or faith.

Dear all! Although it is difficult, it may seem like a loss, but if you obey the word of God, you will receive blessings. Miracles happen. I pray that you will become a saint who receives blessings because of obedience.
